Re: TRX Tires Not So Bad
I'd be interested to know if Coker Tire really are the current manufacturers of TRX tyres. Worldwide or just the US market? Does anyone have a link to them saying so? All i've read are some posts here repeating what others have said but no actual proof of this. I ask because Coker themselves make no...

Looks very nice indeed and those Style 29 wheels are an excellent choice.

Re: TRX Tires Not So Bad
Although I have not driven on TRX's for a bit over 15 years now, the "current" batch sure should be better than the ones I wore out during driver improvement school. The new compounds should make them better overall than before, but the structure still remains and the newer technology tir...

Re: TRX Tires Not So Bad
Paul, if they were that good, you'd see them being used in racing, where cost is no object. I stand by my statement. I don't really think racing tyres can be used in an argument for tyres for normal cars and I don't believe racing tyres are a fraction of the price of TRXs so I stand by my statement...

Re: TRX Tires Not So Bad
For originality they are essential, but as you say, for a fraction of the price you can get tires that are better in all respects. Well no you can't. You can certainly get ones that are just as good for a fraction of the price but ones that better? Modern TRXs have just as much grip as modern tyres...

The more I see of the M1 the more I would like one, especially photos from members rather than publicity shots.
Thanks for the photos.

From my POV everytime I see Location: Guildford, I immediately think Guildford, Perth, Western Australia. The closest Guildford to me. But I'm guessing that's probably not correct. Well I live in Guildford but on the other side of the continent from you and the other side of the world from Sharkfan...

Very nice indeed. Agree with the comment above about the shark decals, they don't work for me either.

Re: Long Time Between Drinks
Lovely Agate green is such a good colour. I never thought of it when I was looking for a car 10 years ago but as it drove around the corner and I saw it for the first time the colour pulled me in and I knew I would buy it.

I think most people know I'm not a lover of larger wheels on our cars but my word, the wheels on the red Dinan look rather good.

I think not. Plenty of Australian wines are around the 13% to 14% alcohol mark. 16% is actually quite high for a wine and it's not that often you see it up there.griffo wrote:was that only 16% alc vol!?
damn in aussie our wine/port dosnt go under 18%!

Re: Gertie Ready & M635 sale at Shannons
Mine have gone twice in the time I've had it (10 years) I don't know if I've been unlucky or if that's par for the course. The second time around there was no drama with smoke but I had a clicking noise and the cv joints under the boots were as dry as a witch's tit so the grease must have gone a whi...

Re: Gertie Ready & M635 sale at Shannons
I remember when the boots failed on my car during a drive out to Oberon. There was so much smoke coming from the back of the car from the grease being thrown onto the hot exhaust that I thought the engine had blown up even though it was running perfectly. It was a relief to open up the bonnet and se...

Re: A Pair Of 6ers In Canberra
I like that brown car. The owner is a top bloke. The owner of the other car though, he has some expletive tattooed on his forehead. 4 letter word, starts with H ends with D and has an OA in the middle. What an insult. edit. Awesome spot Canberra either in a 6er or on a bicycle. http://i171.photobuc...

Good old 390mm TRXs still for me. Not old ones though, current modern compound version that have plenty of grip.

Re: Drivers door seal
The 6er I'm referencing is a '79 garage queen, the seal just dry rotted on the front side which leads me to a question....what do we use to condition this rubber so dry rot doesn't happen?? Gummi Pflege. Available from any decent car detailing mob. http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/autogeek_2268_477562149

Hmmm. As much as I can be a fan of the early model BMW wheels that bottlecap one does look shithouse. Throwing stars definitely an improvement.
Perhaps the air thing was just the day and there's no leak, sort of twilight zone type thing.

Re: Fresh batch of TRX tires!
I get my 390 mm trx tyres from Longstone. The modern compound Michelin uses is very grippy so I reckon you're going to have a lot of fun with those.
