Re: E12 V E28 6 Series body moulding trim.

This is not about Bert Poliakoff, who I have dealt with in the past and is a gentleman to deal with. Let there be no confusion.

Olympia57 was talking about a different Bert entirely.

Negative Review: Beware Irish E24 owners.

I had the misfortune recently to deal with Bert Glorney based in Cork, Ireland. This is his ad. https://www.donedeal.ie/vintagecars-for-sale/bmw-635-amp-30-csi-parts-for-sale/11324208 I had agreed to purchase Trim pieces from him. He described them on the phone to me as being 8/10. When I received t...

Re: E12 V E28 6 Series body moulding trim.

Nick , was Bert unable to supply the parts you need ? Don He supplied parts Don. He told me they were 8/10 and very good condition and charged me a lot of money for them. What I received was scratched up junk!! He now refuses to answer my calls and won't refund me my money. I know that you were act...

Re: E12 V E28 6 Series body moulding trim.

Many thanks for the reply Brucey, a fountain of knowledge as always. The wing mouldings and the rear quarter mouldings are available for the E28 version but I will have to buy the E12 door mouldings and mix both sets. Does this sound like a reasonable strategy to you Brucey? I assume that visually t...

E12 V E28 6 Series body moulding trim.

Hi Guys, I need to replace the body moulding trim on the doors, wings, and rear quarter panels on my 89 M635. The previous owner put shadowline trim on the car and I want to revert the car back to the correct chrome trim. The problem is, on the E28 based cars not all of the trim is available from BM...

Re: 0760001 & 0760002 Exist (well, they did!)

I printed both of those build sheets a number of years ago when researching chassis numbers. Nobody seems to know anything about those two cars and they have never popped up on a forum. My theory is that they were both pre production RHD cars that were not meant to be sold to the public. I am guessi...

Re: WTB: M88/3 Yellow Throttle Body Screw Covers

Yellow covers only came from the factory. If a car has yellow covers on it, it means that the covers have never been off and the TB's have never been tampered with. You can only buy replacement blue covers for an M88/3, S38 or an S14. If a car has blue covers then TB's have been adjusted. You cannot...

Well said Olympia. I also took sskoda's post with a pinch of salt. I think his actual motivation for the post was to let us know that he had two M635's for breaking. I think he was expecting a rush of people looking for his M635 specific parts, M88 engines and front airdams etc....I don't think he a...

Pod, Who do you use to carry out the work on your M? I didn't realise it would be that expensive to do a timing chain and guides. Ash I learnt years ago that it you want a job done properly, do it yourself! I never let anybody near my cars - and an additional benefit is that I save myself thousands...

The feedback I have received on this car is that it does require work. No evidence of a timing chain being done, and rust in the usual places. I think 492 needs someone who is prepared for some big bills that is not going to lose their bottle half way through. Realistically, if paying someone else t...

RHD M635 Highline No.492

Dolphin Grey with Lotus white leather. Only 93,000 miles. This looks like a lovely car. It will probably need a timing chain replacement and undoubtedly has some rust issues but at £12000 seems fairly priced. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C607746 After consulting Ron's comprehensive list of ch...

What is it with M635's, the arse has completely fallen out of the market. No one seems to want them anymore. I guess there is too many of the 524 cars about.

If that was an E28 M5 with the same issues, it would be £15000-£18000 with people fighting over it.
