Just been delving into my brinicle this evening... The finish on yours looks quite different from both of mine (82 and 85) - quite course and stippled - but it does look original. I have found that the glue is water based and dissolves quite easily.

My cars going in for it's MOT tomorrow after many years off the road. I have replaced every brake component apart from the MC. When I looked at the last MOT in detail last week I noticed that it had failed on 'excessive brake pedal travel' - mysteriously it passed the next day... The brakes seem to ...

Glad to hear that you're not put off from repairing the car - I've restored much worse (not a 6). I'm not that familiar with the brake servos - I always struggled to stop the Girling ones from leaking after rebuilding them - but maybe these are better.

Sorry to see so much corrosion - could you get some used sections from one of the breakers on eBay? Headlights are nice - same as mine, much cheaper than the later ones.
