Many thanks Ron, you're a star!
Now, is it Dekor 1 or Dekor 5 ........mmmmmm
I think its is Dekor 1 having seen the chart. Both seem to be still available according to RealOEM so I will try ordering it.
All the best
Phil

Hi I have searched the forum and although there are references to a pinstripe colour chart, I haven't been able to find the link? I need to know what pinstripes were used on the Polaris Silver M635's as shown below. There appear to be at least 3 shoices from the chart below: 51 14 1 933 373 ..... SI...

Automatic M6 for sale in NZ
Now here's something you don't see everyday! This actually IS an automatic M6. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/m6/auction-538509810.htm However, steering wheel isn't right. Is this a 635CSIa with an M88 fitted? Having carefully read the advert I think I have answered my own question. :...

SI Board Battery replacement - NiMH OK?
Hi Winfred Thanks for this info. I am beginning to wonder now what the history is of these Service Indicators. I believe the E28 533i was also only available in NA. I have owned 2x UK 525's from the 80's and they had the SI's I seem to recall. Is it possible that the SI's were not fitted to some NA ...

SI Board Battery replacement - NiMH OK?
Hi Demet. Interesting link, but I have hit a slight snag in that it appears the E28 528E was not released in Europe (I did have a E28 525E at one time). It seems it was a NA special, so I think it a bit unlikley I will ever find one of these boards. Never mind, I will try a bit more resoldering...

SI Board Battery replacement - NiMH OK?
Hi Demet Now THAT is interesting. For what it's worth, I actually installed a couple of alkaline batteries into the external battery holder for temporary use until I sourced some 1000ma NiCads, but the alkalines ended up staying in the SI circuit for a number of years. Nothing blew up. It would seem...

SI Board Battery replacement - NiMH OK?
Hi Winfred This looks to be a very interesting discovery as I have not read this anywhere before: if you have a early square board you can eliminate the whole useless system like i did with the temp/fuel gauge and battery less board from a 82 e28 Mine is the early square board and my changing the ba...

SI Board Battery replacement - NiMH OK?
Hey Pod! Thanks for the welcome and quick delivery of my heater valve repair kit. I am in the process of trying to remove all the niggles from my car having pretty much neglected it for the past 10 years or so with no-to-minimal use. It's all the usual - siezed calipers (although also had to replace...

RHD M635csi brake master cylinder
Hi Richard Sorry to hear you are still struggling with this. Yes, that was the price I was quoted by Eurocarparts and their part no is 132110140. It fixed my sticking calipers woes instantly so was worth the expense. Still hurts the pocket though! Just so you are aware, it appears that the aluminium...

SI Board Battery replacement - NiMH OK?
OK, I have trawled around and the consensus appears to be that you should not use NiMH batteries to replace the NiCads on the SI boards. This is a small extract from some of the detailed info out there that seems to indicate the problem: NiMH cannot absorb overcharge well and the trickle charge is s...

SI Board Battery replacement - NiMH OK?
Hi Folks I am in the process of changing the batteries again on my old style separate SI board. I did this successfully around 10 years ago but have now found that around 5 years ago the decision was taken not to sell NiCad batteries in the UK any more for eco reasons. There seems to be some conflic...

RHD M635csi brake master cylinder
Hi Richard Thanks for your kind words and glad to be of help. I am in the UK. I have had my M635 for 20 years (#128) and as it now needs some work, I am just starting to get back into the BMW classic scene, having been active around 10 -15 years ago. This forum is great and it seems that the love of...

Hi Richard Apologies, I am new to the board and have just realised you are in sunny Oz, so Eurocarparts not probably going to be of much use! I have attached photo's taken from the ATE catalogue (with their part numbers) at http://outcat-cs.tecdoc.net/ows/en/D86AA3EB2C2A19ADC3C956B8572B0DE8.ows_cs23...

RHD M635csi brake master cylinder
Hi Richard I had this issue a couple of weeks ago. When I put my reg no into Eurocarparts only one style of MC came up so ordered it. When it arrived it was the wrong type. I have since found out there are at least two styles of MC's on UK cars. The one I have is the same as yours and is made of cas...

M635csi - How many left in UK
Hi Folks I am new to this particular board, but have been around a long time having owned my RHD M635csi (no. 128) for 20 years. This is a great place for information, especially as I recently suffered the brake binding that a lot of people seem to have experienced. Turns out to have been the Master...
