Got a question for you Jose, What did you end up doing with the other rubber hoses in the system? Like the suction from the rear AC between the fender and the Y fitting? Did you replace the one under the back seat as well? Another question I have in general, is there was some talk earlier about the ...

I'll try to see if the Sangen tech support guys have any idea. Still a little bit wary of the $110 online fan and shroud. Can't find a good used one yet either. Maybe I can find somebody like FCP selling them with a better warranty. Let us know what you end up doing, I am in the same boat, getting ...

Either the airbag, or the brake pad sensors,.. If it is the airbag, I would sure think about doing something about them, be an unpleasant surprise :D

Just to make a point, sportseats for an e24 are indeed hard to come by... I looked for a long time for mine and ended up getting them out of England...one benefit of that is that the drivers seat is like new :D The only thing I could find in the States was pretty worn out and beyond the point of cle...

Expansion valves can be removed and flushed from both ends. The rear expansion valve actually comes completely apart, so cleaning is a sure fix. Don't replace the evaporator. Get a flush kit and wash it out with their chemicals. Then do a final flush with acetone. Follow all safety precautions of c...

Do some searching for a write up by "DaHose" (Jose), He did a very nice write up on how to do the rear bearings, as part of a total overhaul of the rear sub frame...I would not describe this as a fun project..

As a stupid question, for you guys converting to 134, do you replace the expansion valves as well? As for using new fittings and hoses, that makes nothing but sense to use those to plumb a new compressor in, but how do you tie into the existing hardlines ? The ones I see the rubber hose is crimped o...

[quote="hornhospital"]As far as I understand, the ECU for an automatic will have a different number (not 059 last three numbers). Stick with an 059 and you'll have no trouble. Not sure that is entirely true I know for the '88 and up, a -179 replaces all of the different part numbers, manua...

Be aware that some of the later cars had a fuel cooling option that Brucey mentioned. The fuel line runs under the drivers floorboard and up the firewall to the back of the fuel rail, then out of the fuel pressure regulator at the front of the fuel rail it runs to the firewall and into the scuttle ...

As a side question, when you do the conversion, is it nessesary to change out both the expansion valves as well? The front one would be a royal bi--h to get too, I imagine it would require a mayor dash disassemble .

The other thing that installing an M-Tech steering wheel will do( beside not having to cringe every time you take those RR crossings too fast ) is it puts the Physical steering wheel closer to the turn signal and wiper stalks. This is due to the Airbag wheel being "deeper " to accommodate ...

Have a question

I bought a set of BMW -90 style 5, 2 piece wheels from a member here, and they are 8x17.They are the kind with the 36 bolts per wheel that hold the 2 half's together. Long story short, roads around here are in serious disrepair and I would like to put on some 16 Inch shoes in order to get some more ...
