Crank position sensor retainer

The OEM bracket is working out but I needed to make sure that the Sensor can be held in place and be adjusted. I designed a piece that will mount on the top of the bracket and be held by a screw into the OEM piece.

Re: Modified throttle bodies survey/thoughts

I would like to chime in regarding the increase in bore. Since I am on a path of increasing flow to the head I have done some research regarding boring. I would first concentrate on Throttle body Bore size as a velocity is vital in atomization . There is research and Real world results that show tha...

Quick update

I needed a Crank position sensor. I was encouraged to buy one from VAC as they have a kit for the S14. I wanted something that fit the OEM bracket that is also adjustable. The VAC unit is +$200 use for the sensor, as the kit is made for the S14 it wont work on the S38 as far as I know.. I found that...

Re: My henna 84

It looks like on the scetch that u are planning to use the oem panel filter box. If so U may/will need some sort of flex as the engine moves under acceleration. Correct.. I am remaking the foam from the airbox which will change on the engine side to the plenum, hopefully this week. Once everything ...

Welcome to the board! Hope you enjoy your ownership. "The shippers I'm confident in are $2,500-3,000 - not practical for the vehicle's value. " Moving companies are not reliable for the most part and basing the cost of moving on the price you paid is not practical at all. You bought this v...

Re: My henna 84

As always, some kick ass work going on here. I do have a few questions. Not clear on the tube in the plenum. Is the outside air coming into the plenum from the bottom and therefore going through the tube first in an effort to evenly fill the plenum and therefore evenly supply air to every cylinder ...

Re: My henna 84

Yep, wonderfully detailed work ! What coils were you looking at using ? Thank you for the compliment. The coils are GM Type LS coils. As explained earlier, I wanted to start with something more affordable and simple to get anywhere here in the US. In the future I will customize a rail down the midd...

Re: My henna 84

Like your work. Let’s hope there is some benifits in the revised plenum Thanks... It's complex and needs lots of tuning... But I didn't look for easy.. I didn't want to just bolt on parts that someone else said work.. The final result will be a culmination of many details.. The M88/S38 a great moto...

More updates.. I'm certainly not trained as a CAD guy.. But I refuse to give up. Here are a few more shots of the concept Manifold I want to incorporate into the plenum.. Its not correct in many ways but gives an idea of what I would like to achieve.. I'm always open to comments and questions of cou...

Re: My henna 84

Since I've had time off of work and been able to loaf a little I have concentrated on the CAD that I need in order to make the plenum a reality. This is still rough but getting there.. I am not a pro and have had to watch a lot of videos to get this far.. I'm liking Fusion 360 a lot! The shots show ...

Hey TBM. I'm heading to the hospital to catch up with my daughter and new grand son but will post more tomorrow. I had the box custom made by Christian Opitz in Germany. His email is; Opitz-Polling@gmx.de He was great to deal with and this was the second airbox I had made by him. The first (picture...

Re: My henna 84

Small Update: I was going to hide the LS7 coils right in front of where the distributor normally sits I will be using a CPS. In fact, all six coils would have fit inside a slightly revised OEM plastic cover so it all looked OEM.... But then I decided to spread the weight as much as possible for hand...

Re: Updating an M635csi Track Car to a Race Car

I run an electromotive system now without a dizzy on the S38. I love it but one of the key reasons for going to the M30 is originality. With the new motor and air jacks it should be one of the most accurate Group A clones in the world. You'll need a pair of these to be Group A accurate... :D Frint ...

I needed to start mocking things up. too many components that I am trying to cram in a small space to make room for a big plenum. The first thing...I traced the outline of the original plenum and propped it to see if the elbow design was working out. I oversized it by a little in order to create as ...

Yes I understand. I was more referring to my line of thought for my car ie. eventual aftermarket ECU and electronic throttle control. I really look forward to your progress. I meant to cover that initially, then got lost in my own world. The S54 throttle body motor will work very easily with an Emt...
