Re: FS - UK RHD M635CSi #499

Always fun a discussion about taste. :D
I prefer the late Highlines, I like the more modern eighties look over the original slim design.
If I had to choose one, I would definitely go for the Zinnober red Highline.

Heater blower switch issues

My heater blower switch does not work very well. If I turn it on 10x, it works 1x, and it only works at the maximum setting. When I turn on the air conditioning, the blower works perfectly, it is then also possible to regulate the speed. But with the air conditioning off it doesn't work properly. An...

Re: My aftermarket exhaust is too loud!

I finally have the sound I wanted, the exhaust system now sounds really great in my opinion. Beautiful humming 6 cylinder sound. What I've done: - New catalytic converter from a 5-series, type E39 / 7-series E38 - New oxygen sensor - New middle silencer from a 5-series, type E34 - New E24 rear silen...

About your leakage, this video shows a repair of the bearings in a throttle valve of a E30.
Quite a job but not impossible.

Not able to help you with this, I'm sorry. I am however interested in the smoke test you did, what equipment did you use? Was thinking of making a DIY smoke tester to do the test you performed. Found this clever video about making a simple and functional smoke tester. https://www.youtube.com/w...

Re: Installing The Front License Plate Holder (Protective Moulding)

The part you have ordered is 51111861009, but you need 51111855951.

The part you ordered is for cars up to 1987.

Re: Installing The Front License Plate Holder (Protective Moulding)

Looks like the new part is for a US style bumper, build up to 1987. These are thick black rubber.
The later models are plastic.

Re: Instrument Cluster Light Upgrade

DO NOT use 5 watt bulbs in the cluster. [-X I read on the German 6-er forum, that it can melt the lenses and can create bubbles in the cluster housing in the area of the lamps. The German forum member, a cluster specialist, has done several tests with different LEDs. You can see photos of the result...

Re: My aftermarket exhaust is too loud!

That's good to know! Then a Walker might be a good option for me.
Walker also makes a direct-fit aftermarket muffler for the E24, the Walker 13033

This is the Walker exhaust:

Re: My aftermarket exhaust is too loud!

Thanks for your input Jose. Good solution with the Magnaflow DBX, not many silencers fit in the narrow passage that the E24 has. Can imagine it produces a great sound, but I think it will be too sporty for me. I am looking for an original sounding solution, not too much noise but still the typical B...
