Re: My aftermarket exhaust is too loud!
Does anyone have experience with these direct-fit aftermarket exhausts? Wonder if these produce an identical sound as an original rear silencer. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Auspuff-Endtopf-NEU-fur-BMW-5er-6er-528i-535i-635-CSI-82-87-Anbaut-Blende/192522652279?hash=item2cd33e8a77:g:K0oAAOSwOVhgM6sy http...

Looks really good!
Your radio brings back memories.
Mom and Dad had the exact same one in the early 1990s!

Re: Help with part identification
I remember someone once posted about replacing those cable rubbers.
He had made new ones based on rubber from a newer type of BMW.
Unfortunately I can no longer find it.

I have seen the E34 armrests in E30's and E28's. There are adapters available to make them fit.

Such a great story! I love it when a car stays in the family for such a long time!
My grandfather owned many BMW's as well, among them several 3, 5 and 7 series, sadly all of them are demolished.

I would buy a E24 comfort seat for the time being, these are not expensive and a direct fit.

Good price
What do think about this one?
Sold for $500.000, that isn't too much for this car, it is worth much more.

Check this page for the correct part numbers and buy at your local BMW dealer or the internet.
I think you need part no. 62111368299

Thanks - fingers crossed they do just need a bit of a clean? Any recommendations or is a bit of meth and a little emery cloth OK? If I can get those two windows working with little effort I will be a happy man - its the only thing the wife comments on! Just open them up and look for burned spots (s...

Re: My UK '84 635csi
Welcome Tom, looks great!
The windows not working is probably due to dirty (burned) switches, I had that as well.
I opened up the switches and cleaned the contacts, all good after that.
I would not advise to buy the Chinese eBay/Amazon replica switches, just clean the original ones.

Wow, that looks good!
My steering wheel needs some love too.
Asked a local company to rework it, price € 400,-
The cover you have is € 100,- on Amazon.
Your photo convinced me to buy the cover.

I have an 87 model, which is different from yours.
On my car they are situated (under the hood) on the right side just behind the headlights. And the other one is left from the suspension.
