Hello, yes, reset to factory,
the only way to make sure not to damage anything is to remove the power source,
The idea came from bimmerforum.com, e32 section,

Good luck

Re: auto to manual swap--again

Thanks for all the replies. I am still working out some bugs in my "new" 635 and will probably address the transmission swap in the next week or so. The guy is in no big hurry to get rid of the car, so I have some breathing room. I will consider that 265 in Indianapolis, though. take the ...

Re: Hesitation and boging down

Hello, after extensive parts replacement like you did on a '88 this might be for you: On my 90 735 they say you should disconnect both leads on battery ( negative/positive) and touch them together, best to remove battery! After battery gone and they together, turn ignition to on position and wait tw...

Hello, Had no idea, but, a hot re start, after coming out of store, was not happening, Cranked, popped icv, scratched my head, sat there, cranking with my hood open, doing trouble shooting in my head, fuel, check, hear pump running for a second, spark, ckeck (icv popped), air, yep, we are outside,.....

Hello
comment about the low profile ramp

i mainly back up on my ramps, and lift the whole front end with my hydraulic jack and put jack stands under it.

If i need to drive on ramps forward i use woodenboards before the ramps to clear the valance;

Re: Temp connector removal?

I believe you need a small flatblade screwdriver. I've never done it, but I understand that there are prongs on one side of the pin. You press in these prongs and the connector can slide out (I'm sure it is difficult to do). a very small flat head screw driver (like the one u use for eye glasses, w...

Hope these Pics help. I did order a new main relay today. Not sure if many people here are familiar with Blunttech in Minnesota, that is where I got it from. They are very big into 02's and have bought many hard to find parts for my 1600 there. Steve is who I talk to & he was asking me about th...

Same her, never seen a tall one for main,
Can you take a close up of the wiring terminal on relay, also what are the color wires are going to it!

The brown wire is defiently ground wire, looks like still connected to ground.

Any other relays on outside of fuse box?

Re: New Owner

Hello Welcome to the madness, Next to the yellow box you find a smaller black box, obc relay, Keep that in mind looking for culprit, that will take the start signal from ecu away, if faulty! Main relay very common to break, you can remove and jump terminals to check for beeing faulty, if replacement...
