Fan heater blower working in high speed only is a well known problem with the transistor and relatively easy fix. Do a search as there's plenty of references.

Re: Sacramento/Foothills E24 M6 restoration
Hi arenchild and welcome. I can't help with shops in Kali but would be interested in photos or details of your project, having done the same myself. I did not have the original E34 M5 intake manifold system so had a custom carbon fibre unit manufactured. You can find details of my project in the LOC...

Re: Ex LOCUTUS the fun and pain begin
Last couple of days I rectified the non reading coolant temperature dash gauge. The problem was that the BMW mechanic had installed the S38 B36 sender and this was obviously the wrong range to the dash gauge. They had also wired it wrong. I obtained an FAE M30 sender from FCP Euro (once again those ...

Engine oil temperature
Been taking LOCUTUS for some longer drives of late and having a blast I must say :) The ambient temperature has been in the 38 to 40 degree C range here and on the last trip I noticed that engine oil temperature (as measured by the Roland digital dash gauge) got up to 125 degrees C. Does this seem t...

The auxiliary fan is on when;
1) Coolant temperature normal speed switch (91 C) is closed or;
2) Coolant temperature high speed switch (99 C) is closed or;
3) A/C evaporator temperature regulator energises the K1 normal speed relay.

Re: What to do with 1983 BMW 745 Euro???
I left my boat un-used for about 3 years and learned the hard way not to do this without storage preparation. Had to replace all injectors, fuel pump and fuel filter plus lines. Very expensive and a lesson well learned. That 745 will clean up just fine and will be a very attractive option to someone...

On a whim, I installed wheel spacers yesterday. 15mm front and 20mm rear. Bit hard to see here but it does look good.
Oh, and I just have to say. I love my Quickjack and I love my air compressor

I went down this road some years ago and settled on plan B :) Nothing wrong with looking though but I know of two examples here in Australia, both asking for AUD$80,000

As I recall my RH door was also metal, and LH door was plastic pieces. I thought it was a bodge up on the LH door by a previous owner, but I might have read that wrong. Can't remember if my LH door had the lock heater but possibly it did not. Can check my photos when I get back home in a couple of d...

Re: That alt light thread again.
10.66 vdc should be enough for excitation. As the field coil is the rotor, there may be a problem with your voltage regulator or slip rings/brushes. Have you had the alternator apart for inspection ? The fact that the alternator excites at higher revs also indicates that the initial excitation is no...

I would be interested in a tail light upgrade for my Euro (Aussie) 635csi. What is on offer at this stage ? Well flog me with a soggy lettuce leaf. I managed to pick up a nice working example from Ebay (I hope).
Also looked into components to make a miniaturised LED driver and it doesn't look impossible to whip something up.

Brucey when I did that job I could see no other way the white pieces were held on other than a push fit. I used a special Loctite on mine and so far so good. Definitely needs a better solution though.
