Awesome skills and patience. How long have you been at this project? Too bad this detail work will be hidden in the bodywork. But WE will know what you've accomplished. Too bad there aren't more salvage yards to supply you with better parts. Thanks for sharing -Ken Thank you, I really appreciate it...

With the risk of boring you I'll continue updating this already picture heavy thread with weld pictures.. It was time to attach the reinforcement again, but first I had to prepare the area underneath: http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b166/Streetbimmer/728i%20executive/CIMG6581.jpg I drilled some ho...

I had to do the same procedure on the right side as I did on the left, except this side was far worse than the other! http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b166/Streetbimmer/728i%20executive/CIMG5966.jpg And this was definitely the worst area: http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b166/Streetbimmer/728i%20e...

I don't think a mid engine E24 would be any good. I think you would be better off by moving the firewall and engine further back to get rid of some of the weight in front of the front axle. To do so you will have to move the drivers seat, steeringwheel and pedals furter back too. In a pure racecar w...

As I said, the reinforcements are no longer being produced. I wanted new ones but unfortunately had to restore and reuse the old. It took a lot of time and the result wasn't all that good, but here we go: http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b166/Streetbimmer/728i%20executive/DSC_0761.jpg Starting off ...

What to do with all this rust..? Fix it! Starting off by removing a variety of brackets and reinforcement. I bought the lower one on the left in this picture new for both sides, the other two I'm reusing. The bigger one on top is unfortunately not being produced anymore, otherwise I would have bough...

It's good to hear that I am not the only one with such thoughts! Most people think I am crazy when I'm telling them that my cars feel faster on a cold and rainy, than on a warm and dry day out. They think it's placebo due to loss of traction etc.. But it's obvious, the more air you can fit in ...

I agree with Brucey, bushes can be bad even thought they still look good. I recently had a customer complaining about his car going to the right when he was braking, I took his car for a spin and I actually had to steer the other way to avoid going off the road. My first thought was that there had t...

I'd say toe-out is the most likely reason for wear on the inside, like you are describing it. Sure, camber may be a part of it as well but it usually have to be way off to cause substantially uneven wear, while toe-out on the other hand doesn't have to be all that bad to be causing it. I work as a m...
