He's referring to . . .

...the painted bumper side covers, that come in body color as stock, on the 88/89 models, those wearing "world" bumpers :-k So, if you want those on your 6er, either you're in for a bit of modification, or you need to buy and 88 or 89 #-o DunDun, congrats on making the calendar 8)

Right on this very board #-o

And what your fellow board members are trying to tell you, is that you need to provide more of your own info

What year and model is your 6er, where are you, etc. :-k

...big fan of these wheels and OEM wheels in general, over aftermarket wheels  But you really are comparing vastly different wheel styles, when you throw the 5-spoke Schnitzer wheels in there :-? Bottom line, if you ask 100 people this question, you will probably get 100 different answers #-o ...

Correct on the edits . . .

Your first tire selection was way too small, too short actually #-o But you'll be fine with the sizes listed in your edit comment, and the offsets are just fine as well 8) BTW, don't be afraid to ask questions, even seemingly obvious ones  I think a wise man once said that the only dumb quest...

Hey Lane . . .

Not to burst a bubble, but those style 5 wheels probably don't have enough negative offset to work on your M3 :-k And those old school Rial wheels are a trip  Where the hell did you find those :-k And what size are they, BTW :-? BTW, voted for the darker color, Nagaro Silver 8)

Seriously, don't think too much into this, the threads are "righty-tighty, lefty loosy" #-o And you should be using a 17mm wrench on that bolt, both of them actually, won't find any 3/4" fasteners on that beast :-k Since both of these are threaded into Aluminum, it shouldn't be all th...

Easy to do on the early versions . . .

You didn't mention the year of your 6er Roy, but it's very easy to do on the early cars #-o The only thing holding the triangular plastic piece in place is a small screw that should be visible along the top edge. As someone either here or on Bimmerforums said, the world bumpers have a neutral effect on the design, the Euro ones enhance it and make it more beautiful, while the American ones detract from it Think I may use that quote in the future  But I think your approach is the best one, still plenty...

World bumpers?!? I wish . . .

No, unfortunately, those are the dreaded "diving board" version, seen on almost all US version 6ers, from '77 thru '87  The world bumpers appear on 88/89 version, the last of a great run =D> BTW, I see that you are potentially either looking for a set of world bumpers or thinking abo...
