No cat on a '77 . . .
That's what the thermal reactors and air pump are for, smog cleanup  Are you planning on any custom plumbing, or looking for something that is strictly bolton :-k You could pick up a setup from an '80 vintage, but that would also include a cat :-? Pretty sure that anything '79 and prior was de...

Plug the speedo cable connection?!?
The early 265 had a mechanical drive on the tranny that will not present any problems and will be needed if later used in the e9. Wondering if this needs to be plugged, although my recollection is that it does not seal when you connect the speedo cable, as it is probably sealed on the inside :-? Ma...

Holy crap! You're practically on the Mexican border! You should probably have Bobbo purchase for you and pay me to drive it out to ya. Yep, that makes the most sense. +1 on the air coming from the bleeder screw!!!
Try not to back out the bleeder too far, as the air can actually be coming around the threads, and not from within the caliper :-? One trick I heard was to apply a little grease on the threads, then reinsert the bleeder. This "should" prevent air escaping from the threads at least  A...

That's right fellas, "finally" got that copy of the window sticker for an '88 M6
Went out the door for a staggering $60,400
Also of interest, the only option was a heated front seat

Yes, doesn't look "too" bad, guess I was more surprised than anything to see that much rust and loss of sheetmetal :-? Got some great tips on how to repair that section (thanks Bert!) and since I am also ordering the rear strut brace/battery mount combo from Brent today, don't think the ba...

Battery tray, battery options, etc.
Ladies and germs, Didn't like all of the crap that was growing on my battery terminals, so I yanked it last night, only to find the mess that can be seen in the attached photo  I've already been in contact with Brent (BKBimmer) regarding his custom made rear strut tower brace/battery tray offe...

E12 chassis vs. steering box mount
Buellrider, with an E12 chassis 6er, one thing you probably DON'T have to worry about is the steering box mount  This is strictly an issue with the E28 chassis, and well known as well, weak point of failure :-? Besides, I surmise that you have enough to worry about with that rig of yours

If you wanna get picky about it . . .
235/45 would match up with the 255/40 in height perfectly, the 235/40 being a little bit shorter :-? We're talking ao difference of about 1cm (0.4") in vertical height difference, not a big nor would be all that noticable  But for those purists out there, the proper 17" sizes are 235...

Er, not sure what you mean by "OP", however
And FWIW, I too like the L-jet injection look over the Motronic intake setup. The only thing better would be staring at an S38Much better than the OP.

Those aren't cheapass covers, those hoses are the real McCoy, true braided SS hoses
I've done a fair amount of that as well on my engine, not easy to do and requires a LOT of patience

Buelle, here's how to remove that front hearliner panel WITHOUT breaking the clips, like my PO :-? Remove the sunvisors and clips. Not sure about the E28 chassis, but . . .
on the E12 chassis, the idler arm was the cause of an irritating creaking a while back :-? This arm is opposite the pitman arm from the steering linkage, just sorta keeps things under control on the non-steering side of life  The other diagnosis' are highly possible, but don't discount the idl...
