Re: WTB - Evaporator Box Fresh Air Flaps
I have a complete HVAC unit removed from a car I parted out. Is that what you mean by evaporator? PM me if this is what you are chasing.

Re: WTB Getrag 262 CR (dogleg)
I know they are rare as hens teeth but I am looking for a functioning Getrag 262 CR for my Euro '80 635CSi. I am going to try to get mine rebuilt but finding someone capable and with parts will be challenging and expensive. If you have any leads (tranny or restorer) it would be appreciated. Thanks!...

BMW Foam Rear Spoiler Part No 1 879 597
Geniune BMW Rear Spoiler with part number 1 879 597. The foam is weathered but still holds the correct shape and has no gouges etc. With a coat of black bumper satin this will come up good as new, will stand up better to the elements and won't need constant treatment to keep the black lustre. My fat...

Re: Starter motor options
Another +1 for the smaller starter. That inner bolt is a right pain to remove without the special half moon spanner so why not just make the correction that BMW finally made for the M30 B35 :)

Re: auto to manual swap--again
To that extent, I have a Getrag 265 with shifter and prop shaft removed and cleaned ready to install. This is the superior/stronger box over the 260. This was originally going to be for my E9 but came to realize that I needed a mechanical speedo drive output. Hence I am selling. Reach out if it int...

Re: Novice engine tune-up guide?
At 250k miles you should definitely test all your injectors. There's a good chance some are leaking or not atomizing correctly. Check the coil and resistors too to ensure you are getting good spark. As an '85 with Motronic you won't have much to do with fine tuning so rule out the maintenance items ...

Re: auto to manual swap--again
You should consider all else you need from the parts car and the effort needed to remove, store and ultimately sell. I have a bunch of parts that will likely be binned because there does not seem to be a market. Or rather I may have to wait quite a long time before somebody decides they need it and ...

Re: Motronic Bellhousing Relevance to Engine Management
Thank-you for the clarification! I still have the gearbox so will check for the sensors.Alpinacsi wrote:The cars that came with the early motronic injection (82-mid 87) used the speed and reference sensors that mounted in ports in the bellhousing. The later cars used a crank sensor mounted to the flywheel.

Motronic Bellhousing Relevance to Engine Management
Hi All. I have an M30b34 Motor that I pulled from a 1985 635csi. I have heard about the motronic bellhousing... what is the relevance of that? Is it for engine management? Did that only come with certain later version of Motronic or was it present already in 1985? After searching the forum I found s...

Re: Is this an M90?
The number on the identification face by the starter of the "unknown" motor is 41243809. I have a "known" M30B34 with a number of 40073547. Given the same format of number except higher in the sequence of the unknown motor, I am fairly certain that this is just a B34 block with p...

Here it is. Ready to install M30 B34 complete with everything needed. Clean motor with harness in good condition. Removed from a 1985 635csi. Included are pics of the motor with a compression value. I can send pics of all the compressions but they are a consistent 165/170psi per cylinder cranking fr...

Re: Is this an M90?
Thanks for the input so far. This engine is indeed in an E12 but is not original as the car was original a 528i. Thank-you for elaborating on the raised section too. That makes sense. Looking at mine, one third and last image is the 3.5 marking as well as that boxed EC marking that they had. That sa...
