Re: 1984 633CSi Rises again!

Good stuff mate. I think the transformation between the first pic on page 1 of this thread and where you are now is a credit to you, and that car is lucky to have you! =D>

Now just remember to take care when parking nose-in at kerbs & gutters, and making your way up & down driveways. 8)

Re: 1984 633CSi Rises again!

Awesome job Song. I've just caught up on the work you've been doing with the air dam and its very impressive. You've done a great job fixing it up and prepping it, and the finished paint looks outstanding. Great stuff, and thanks for sharing the progress. The colour looks stunning too. Colour-match ...

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?

Very sorry to see this, but good to know it all seems repairable. I know from your posts how much you value this car, so I've no doubt it was gut wrenching for you when this incident happened. And it all happened quite quicky I'm sure, but I always find it really impressive how effective the ABS bra...

Re: Windshield washer nozzle location?

Some of the early models I've seen had a setup like that. Team Serco here in Australia own a 1976 633 which has spray jets through the vents rather than mounted on top. I'm not sure what year the change was made though. My old car was a '77 633 and it had the regular black nozzles on top of the bonn...

Gosh - it sure does look beautiful. In such great conditon and with such low mileage, I am glad that you chose not to sell it and are now able to enjoy it. You'll be pleased to know that I did successfully replace my cracked & faded seatbelt stems way back in 2008, although it did take me two go...

Hi Bob, I've had the 3M clear film on the headlights & nosecone of my car for about 5 or 6 years now. All things considered it works well. As Tommy says, its thicker & more durable than window tint. I'm pretty sure there are different thickneses of film available intended for different body ...

I like it too. That's a stunning colour. More pics please.

The black accenting at the lights and windscreen looks good with that pinstripe and the black interior.

Hi Toby - I can't do Sun 13 May unfortunately. How late in May can you stretch before you head off? Ken - your observation is sound. We've been trying to lock in a date with Josh's new motor since July 2014. Plenty more winters to come & go before we give up hope. These threads are just keepin t...

Hi Josh,

Nice - a 21st century six cylinder hot hatch. Fits a child's seat too huh? And I'll bet it has air-con.

March 31 or April 1 suits me best. What do others say? Same plan as above?

Re: 633 with a history

I really like how the interior on that car has aged, the colour scheme and the leather mixed with cloth has worn very well. Quirky history indeed. It's a cool image to consider, 1970s European pop group driving the latest BMW luxury sports car. I can only imagine they drove that car out to the helic...

Congrats Ralph - that's a really impressive car. The description in the sale ad sounds almost too good to be true doesn't it! It seems the previous owners were pretty fond of it too, so it's good its now in your hands as someone who truly values it and knows its worth.

No problem, we'll give it a miss this weekend. It's forecast to be around 35 degrees on Saturday, so perhaps better off avoiding the heat rather than out dicing in it. Maybe try late Feb instead. Sure Denis, if there are facebook 6ers they're welcome. Do they organise drives or anything of their own?
