If as advertised I'd say great value ! Of course an ECU would add around 300GBP.

S38B36

Cruising around the web looking at S38B36 info and found this;

http://london.craigslist.co.uk/ptd/5224339305.html

No afilliation, but thought this would be ideal for someone looking for a good conversion. If I didn't already have one, I'd be seriously looking at that one.

The Mystery Battery Drain

Couple of days ago I got back from work and went to go for a cruise in LOCUTUS. Turned the key and nada. Hmmmmm, OK. Checked battery with my Sealy tester and it is dead, dead, dead (8v). Very strange, never had a problem in the past. Hook up my supposedly intelligent Matson 7 stage charger and it sa...

That's fantastic Josh. Reminds me I have to get back on to my BMW mechanic to get this S38B36 into LOCUTUS started. I now have all the parts required.

Interested to see how Gertie gets up and boogies !!

Nice. I used to be a developer for the WWII combat flight simulation Targetware/Target Rabaul, and can appreciate the effort required to get a model like that in game.

That video illustrates it, but I never get tired of the E24 shape. That's why I have another one after 25 years between ownership :)

I don't mean to sound pedantic, but have you checked the fuses ? You say the problem is intermittent ? If so this would rule out fuses. Are the fuel gauge and temperature gauge working ?

For nasty battery drains, it is a matter of disconnecting the negative battery terminal, putting your multimeter (set to mA) probes between the negative battery terminal and lead, and pulling fuses and relays till you isolate the problem circuit. Then you will need to find the actual problem. If by ...
