When you fit the studs use some threadlock as they have a habit of coming off with the nut.

For Chris's query:Yes,meant a Flexsocket not a wobble bar.

It's a single item.Just ask Snap-on for a 1/4in. drive 1/2in.(or 12mm.)
wobble socket. They will know what you are talking about.

Try your local garage and ask them if the Snap-on rep.calls.
Most garages are covered by them.
If you know anyone that works at Marshall Aerospace in Cambridge that's another possibility.

Use Vaseline,it's petroleum based so no problems. Ref.removing and refitting inlet manifold with head on. Get yourself a 1/2in.1/4 drive wobble socket (or a 12mm) from Snap-on and with a lot of hassle it's possible.A 3/8 drive socket is too big. On the Highline you have to remove the manifold due to...

Sport seat rails

Hi Dale,Have you tried using your rails from the original seats? I'm pretty sure that I used the comfort seat rails
when I put Recaros in my '79 633 convertible. The Recaros came out of a later 6 which has a different floor pan.
I'm not 100% sure on this as I did it around 7 years ago.

Chris you missed out the standard single wire figure of 8 method on your chart.I know that single wire-locking is taboo on aircraft but the twisted wire is really only as strong as a single wire because there is only the single wire going through the hole in the bolthead. I drilled my banjo bolts a ...

Cylinder head

1708843 (88)3.1---'89 Highline

1708843 (90)5.1---from '91 735

Interestingly the manifold from the 735 has the same part no.(1715588)
as the one from my Highline but is appreciably different.

The reason why I fitted the 735 head is, it was a spare and I had it skimmed so it was one off/one on.

Cruise control wiring

Surely someone with cruise fitted could take a photo of the connector block C 206.On R/H drive it's just forward of the glove box and very easy to see- bit more involved on L/H drive.
Would very much appreciate it.

Thanks for that Kev.I've got one wire that picks up on the speedo cluster and that goes to the "N"on the gearbox lights. These other 3 wires plug into the connector behind the glovebox.I'm pretty sure that the speed control is picked up from the OBC through that connector. The 3 wires are ...

Relay for headlamp wash/wipe

Is there any electrical or mechanical reason why the timer/relay for the headlamp wash/wipe system is located behind the r/h indicator?
I would like to re-locate it in the engine bay purely for ease of access.
