Re: 1984 633CSi Rises again!

My build date is 9/84 so would the Wylie bracket fit on the sanden? If i understand the thread, its a no-go. Regarding the TXV, is there a video or tutorial about taking the a/c blower fan box out?. I have another pair of brackets I can't recall where I got them (either failing memory or been collec...

Re: 1984 633CSi Rises again!

Song, I can't believe it's been over 6 years on the thread. Way back in 2017 we chatted about the TXV in your a/c refresh. So I've got most of the parts and a dedicated a/c tech to do the work although I am trying to identify the best 7 piston genuine Sanden compressor. I've got a cross flow condens...

Toyota makes a 2 part cleaner. Part 1 is a pressurized can with a long tube and cleaner. 2nd can has a deodorizer. I had seen it on Amazon but more likely found at a dealer.

akluminus wrote: Fri Jun 23, 2023 1:22 pm Hi all, these are still available! Though please note I've had to increase the prices a bit to cover materials and production cost increases. $120 for a front set with bushings, $40 for a rear set.
Any picture of the installed kits?

Re: My 6'er

Wrenching season has begun. So far, it been about $1k to replace a badly rotted muffler with an ok used Ansa rear muffler. As we don't have emissions tests on cars this old, and the cat was rattling, they installed a 1 into 2 pipe. Here's the program this summer: 1. Fix broken bolt in the right rear...

Minor add to the solution: put a ss hose clamp where the hose exits the bottom drain to prevent it withdrawing back into the cavity.

I wonder if there is value in designing a new, larger heat sink for the blower transistor. I think the original is steel so an aluminum one might be more effective. Plus using silver, heat transfer paste is another upgrade.

Do you need a measured drawing of Ed's steering kit? Mine is a 100 miles away but I could rough out the dimensions.

The strategy for collecting parts cannot be linear as rare parts are a randomly available. If found or offered, grab them and stash them.
