Re: Part out: 1984 euro 628csi - South Florida
OP hasn't replied to my post or PM. I am pretty sure it does not have a large case diff. A lot of the 83 and 84 Euro's had a 2.73 diff, usually open (at least from what I've seen). One of the UK/Euro guys on here might have a better answer though. I've only personally seen large case diffs on M cars.

e24 trim and fuel door
I need a passenger side fender trim for my '85. The trim piece I need is circled in the picture. Also looking for a rust free, non-dented fuel door. Color does not matter, but black would be great. Trim pic: http://s1318.photobucket.com/user/603Racing/media/Parts/trim%20piece_zpsn0747ton.jpg.html

Re: Charge light - solved
That is true. It thought a workaround was to rev the system enough to excite it regardless of the bulb. Maybe that doesn't work if your cluster is really messed up like mine. Only my gas gauge works.86_6series wrote:I believe the cluster alt bulb has to be working to excite the system.

Re: Charge light - solved
Update: I had the battery and alternator tested, both passed. I charged the battery overnight just to be sure it has enough juice. Put everything back in the car. Started it and I'm getting 12.2v at idle. I rev it a bit and no change. Swapped the voltage regulator, no change. I know the light in my ...

Re: Charge light - solved
Definitely could be. I do know the majority of my cluster does not work, so one of those two are likely the cause.dwcains wrote:Could be the bulb is burned out. Not sure what year(s) that applies to, but I recall it's not a problem on later cars.

Re: can i get some opinions please?
I actually like them in those pics. I think it would highly depend on how they match up with the car color and setup.
Edit: Not a fan of the "stance" though... those poor tires.

Re: I need help! '83 Euro 635 no start
I'm thinking I've seen low voltage there in no-start scenarios on my old e30 eta. That particular case ended up being an intermittent short in the ignition switch. I would check injector pulse. That signal and timing is dictated by the flywheel sensor. That could help find or eliminate possible issu...

Re: '85 635 gauge cluster
Back in the market for this. I need a complete known working cluster. It's ok if the speedo and/or odo do not work, but the rest should be in good working order. I do need the earlier style e24 cluster for my '85.

Are the injectors pulsing when you crank the engine?

Re: Charge light - solved
Adding to a very old thread for additional info. My '85 635 idles at 10.8v and the anit-lock light is on in the cluster. When I rev the car the light goes out. I have not checked the voltage after this event (will do that today) but I bet it's related to the charging system being excited. I'm wonder...

Re: Uneven front tyre wear
Did they measure your camber and caster as well? If you are getting inside tire wear on both front tires, there isn't too much that could be wrong with the alignment that will cause that. That is usually caused by: -incorrect toe adjustment -excessive negative camber -caster fits into the equation, ...

I'm sure they are amazing, and they look great. I do have a fairly healthy budget for seats, but not near that healthy.

Well, my only issue with those is that I want seats that are in good condition. I have working seats, but the leather is shot. I may just break down and restore them.
