Re: Parting out Fritz

Looks as the PO did not like clips. The slots are there but the actual metal clip is gone. Same on the A-Pillars, great condition but the clips are missing

I'd be very interested.

Parting out Fritz

Sad times but Fritz cannot be rescued. I still have Igor, my E12 but a lot of the parts are not compatible so I am selling those. Transmission, drive shaft, and LSD are already spoken for. Let me know what you want.
Thanks

Re: Another one bit the dust

There are a couple of options I am taking into consideration. One would be parting out and the other is just selling as is. Right now I have the front world bumper set up for sale and see how it goes. I could also just let the whole car go would be another option.

Re: Another one bit the dust

Thanks for your kind words. It has been 11 years and it just starts to sink in how much work, effort, blood, and sweat has been put into this car and it is all over. Yes your are right, it is upsetting for sure. Good thing is that I still have Igor my project car who gets more attention now. I do ha...

Another one bit the dust

Sad news! I got hit on the rear side today and the damage is too much to save Fritz. The only good thing is that nobody got hurt in this accident. The rear end shifted over that you can't even open the passenger door anymore. :-( still drives but I smell exhaust fumes so I deem it unsafe. Now back t...

Re: Rear side window won't move

You are talking about a 33 year old car. My guess would be that the grease inside the motor is dried out and hardened. I have seen this for sure in the windshield wiper motor. Not sure what your temperatures are but it gets extreme hard in the cold to move. Switch may also be the culprit.

Freaky things do happen with this car. Your two problems may not even be related. The cutout may just be the fuel relay.

Do you get power to the starter? Tried going straight from the battery to the starter? Checked all the fuses and relays?

I always use one as well. You can also make one yourself out of a milk carton. :D
