Series one 265/6 gearbox x member .
Rob ( wattsmonkey ) on here has asked me a question that I am having difficulty answering . He has a choice of three 265/6 x members for me to fit same gearbox into my series one e12 based car . I've trawled the 'net but so far been unable to determine the correct or best one for the job . To those ...

Re: The Complete BMW Line Up - Spring 1981 w\ Prices
To give you an idea of how long I've loved '80s BMWs, I bought this magazine brand new in March 1981 and still have it today, ..yes..40 years later! I was a kid living in London, UK at the time and Iit was bought with my 25pence allowance from my parents. Great memories! I have hundreds of brochure...

Here's another one, off the road for 7.5 years, non runner, asking price £4,500  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bmw-e24-635csi-auto/274671867004?hash=item3ff3b8147c:g:8-UAAOSw~gpgHGDz The flakes of rust on the ground on the rear photo would suggest that it would be prudent to check the underside...

I can only say well done Ric .. =D> You were ( I believe ) the only source worldwide for these and it certainly made a huge difference to the finish and sealing properties of my car . I do hope it's economically viable to produce another batch as many more owners will be looking for these in the fut...

Re: Wheel polishing media recommendations please...
Bobbo ,If your wheels have already been polished then then you really only want to remove the oxidisation on the surface and then bring up the shine again. I've polished many a wheel plus components and use what's known as mops and soap. The mops are used with a power drill and the soap ( polish ) i...

Boot ( trunk ) floor with spare wheel and petrol tank would prevent it being routed other than centre. I stand corrected .... My S1 exhaust does sweep to the left upon exit from the silencer . No mention of the damage to the LH wing ...
Two new wings + all the remedial welding + finishing work + full windows out respray ain't going to be cheap if done properly .
What a truly beautiful colour combo though .

I'm anxious to ensure that I have given the correct answer to the OP's question and that if there is a difference between year models then I clarify what mine looks like . Yes , bolt straight in .
I have fitted plates to allow my drivers seat to sit a further two inches rearwards to accomodate my 6' 4" frame but the standard bolt holes align.

Re: 1988 M6 Widebody on Bring a Trailer - Unique Piece
Not a fan of any type of add on body additions or modifications on the E24 I think you immediately lose the grace that abounds from the original design. I can admire the work and effort involved in this one but I'd rather have the body stock, plus there must be an enormous amount of bodyfiller on it...

That's a nice old player Ken and if you had been closer I 'd have had it .
FYI the cd 3.5mm socket will accept MP3 player input direct from a Ipod or similar giving you vintage looks with modern operation.
Win /win ....
