Re: 85 euro m635csi & m88/3 timing chain - my project
Very nice pics. I don't think I've ever seen the m88/s38 documented like this. Almost makes me think I could work on one.......Maybe
Keep up the good work. I hope we'll be seeing a first start video.

Wow glad to hear you are home and getting back on track. Don't sell those cars yet you may be wishing you didn't. Take some time to recuperate first. Hoping to see someone getting shit for not having their address in profile very soon. Good luck Ron

Interestingly theres the near twin to that car for sale in Seattle. Now of course it has the big bumpers but it is a manual. I'd maybe be looking at it if I didn't already have too much to deal with  https://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/cto/d/shelton-77-bmw-630csi/6813134125.html https://images....

Re: Poor old '81 635... can we rebuild her???
Nice find, hope you can save it. If your happy about the 4 piston calipers in the front you'll be glad to hear you have two piston vented rotors in the back. These cars have all kind of extras no other BMWs seem to have. Unfortunately one of them is the rust. Hows the front inner fender area? The m9...

Agreed, also not nearly the disorganization, mess, tools and parts gone missing, sweating and bashed knuckles I'm used to in my garage.

Re: Rare 1977 BMW 630CS Alpina B2 ?
Holy crap! I had a message from the seller that it had sold but not the price. Crazy after not selling for 15K on ebay. hffvdbl, thx for the info. Do you know any other details? sharkfan, Seems weird that Alpina wouldn't have any of these cars listed in any of the registry's. Also wouldn't a 630cs h...

I messaged the seller of this car and he claims to have all kinds of proof its a real Alpina. He was going to email me with it. Now the cars been pulled from ebay without anyone buying it. Mmmmm
Re: My motor
Very nice looking engine Burt. How is the rest of the car coming along? I have heard some rumours of it being worked on. I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to see some progress pics.

Rare 1977 BMW 630CS Alpina B2 ?
Heres what I thought was an interesting car. I did some searching and came up with nothing on this model. I looked at a few Alpina registries. Seems like its a fake? Maybe the Alpina experts can shed some light https://www.ebay.com/itm/1977-BMW-6-Series/173597706030?hash=item286b3ac72e:g:bhAAAOSwLKN...

Re: Odd colored i8...
Agree Bob, Not a fan of the color or the car. I think BMW made a big mistake making such a crazy supercar and then making it electric. I bet you'd see more of them on the road if they had a big V8 or something in them. My opinion. BTW, nice e46. It must be a great car with the top down in sunny CA

Ralph, great info there. I'm sure theres all kinds of ways to install these parts and have it work OK, but not optimally. My car has E12 headlights - which made buying new lenses much cheaper. Randall, Very nice work. Amazing to have a rebuilt dogleg. I'm curious, where did you get your headlights t...
