Re: " Auric " the odyssey ........

Those seats look amazing. And they are actual e24 seats with the seams going the correct way. Nice work. The best is yet to come when you sit in them for that first long drive and you don't get that comfort seat slouch and old man backache getting out. Congrats. Its got to make your car that much mo...

Re: Headlamp wipers.

I have a rough set of wipers, motors etc, but the two no 11s are crumbling bits of rubber. Think I saw Brucey was using shrink wrap on his wiper resto thread on here.

I saw this a while ago and thought I had replied. Thats such I nice car. I love those H&Bs I have been half heartedly looking for a set but they don't come up very often. Or WEDS which they resemble. Welcome Brian, I hope we see more of that car.

Re: Approximate G265/6 value?

This may be some indication of where 265/6 prices are or are headed. A proven operating unit for $1500, not cheap but maybe cheaper than an unproven unit for $1000.

Re: Course to fine spline swap

I'm pretty sure I've seen it mentioned a few times as something someone did. Finding a used late steering column would be pretty easy. Pulling it from a yard car would give you an idea of what it would be like to re&re your existing one. I'd wonder about turn signal/ wiper connections.

Re: Approximate G265/6 value?

This reply may be a little late. IMO a decent looking 265/6 that spins nice and smoothly with no crunching, cleanish oil, and not too much lateral play in the input shaft which is the achilles heal for these transmissions would be worth $800 or up. Bell housing is a bonus worhth maybe $150 and up.

Re: WTB . Used Headlight wiper blades

Might it not be better (less hassle) to buy new? I bought some not that long ago, but maybe they have since been declared N/A? I almost certainly have my old set somewhere, but might struggle to lay my hands on them. But if you are desperate I would be willing to have a go at looking. Phil, it woul...

WTB . Used Headlight wiper blades

I've been working on a rusty crusty set of HL wipers for my 87 and I have as set of the rubber only wiper blade "refills" . So the blade has no ball shaped holder or stiffener inside it. I need to source those metal parts from used wiper blades. Which I don't have. In the pic you can see t...

Re: NEW full Aluminum Wizard Cooling Radiator

Carl, Im sort of interested in this, but the mounting methods for the early e12 cars are completely different compared to the later cars. Those tabs welded to the sides of the rad would interfer with the mounting brackets that are on early cars? No? And the tabs with the slots on the bottom of the r...

OK this is interesting I haven't ever seen anything about this "seal carrier" before. I'll be watching to see how this all goes Song. Just for the record I just got a rebuilt booster from Jay and only had to re&re the unit and send the old one back to Jay. I did it the lazy way . LOL .

Re: Where could this leak be coming from?

I used a booster rebuilt by Jay and it all want very smoothly. Jay has excellent instructions included with his rebuilt boosters as well. That was a few years ago and no leaks at all. I hadn't heard of the aluminum seal till now though.

Thx for the offer but I'm overflowing bits and bobs at the moment. I've had to build another shed in my backyard to handle the overflow. I'm really after a rustfree( as much a s possible anyways) euro shell. I'm not holding my breath for one thats for sure. Good luck the swapping over etc

Hey welcome and congrats on the cars. I actually tried to buy that green one as a body donor for my rusty 79 euro. I was out of town when it came up for sale and it went quick. Good for you. Love that green. If I'm not mistaken that car also has Recaros which are even more rare that sport seats so y...

Seats are looking great. After reading your last post it reminded me that I found a great product that I have no idea if its available in Ireland or UK. Its actually a bathtub cleaner called Vim. Its an abrasive that did fantastic job cleaning my dirty junkyard e30 seats. Maybe theres a similar prod...

Interesting write up with the heater valve. I've heard some of that before on various forums, but great documentation and pics. I just thought I would add here I had a similar situation with the two little nuts being corroded on my turn signals. And couldn't get the grills off for a while. I used my...

Don, Great find on the e24 seats . Its a good story on how you eagled eyed the seats in someones pic and tracked them down. That is a very cool and rare car. Well worth getting going and passing on to someone else to restore. If you are a member over on mye28 there seems to be a fair bit of interest in e23s. More pics please

Thx for the reply. I should have posted in my original post that I've already tried Rallylights, Daniel Stern, and several other well known lighting experts.
