Re: WTD H1 low beam lamps
Nobody?? The headlamps I'm looking for are H1 LOWBEAMS and are flat to accept the headlight wipe/wash blades. The normal H4 lows have a higher face that will interfere with the wiper blade. So anyone with a wipe/wash system should have these lamps. Except of course RHD drive cars will have lamps poi...

Its interesting Jay, I've never seen an all metal e24/e28 BMW rad before. How much did you pay for that?

Very nice job on the seats. That blue looks very nice. I'd love to see pics of the completed interior. And pics of the car. I don't think I've seen pics of your car posted on the forum previously? Or I missed them.

WTD H1 low beam lamps
I have a posting looking for these lamps in the electrical section but I thought posting here may be more appropriate. I'm looking for E code H1 LOW BEAM only LHD lamps. I think most or some e24s in Europe came with these lamps VS the H4 low/high. I need them in my attempt to install a wash/wipe sys...

WTB Hella H1 Low beam lamps
Ok, so I'm on the hunt for something I didn't even really know existed until recently. H1 low beam headlamps. I have H4s in my car currently but just picked up most of a wash/wipe system for the car. The H4s stick out from the chrome ring and will make it hard if not impossible for the wiper to wipe...

Re: Sideloader Ratios
Ben, Its very interesting. Thx for posting your info. I don't think I've seen so much info all put down in one spot on diffs before. Many thx And I just want to clarify Yes the LSD units can be built similar to later units with extra plates, with or without preload. By this statement you mean, by ad...

Re: G265 Sheet Metal Shifter looks weird
From your photo I actually think you have those blocks oriented incorrectly. These two sheet metal consoles I have from 265/6 trannies are just as they came off the transmissions. They look to be set up oppositely. Maybe it makes no difference at all. Maybe enough difference to cause some issue. Jus...

Re: Sideloader Ratios
Yeah I figured there would be a little excitement at the pic of that diff. That came up on CL in Seattle a few years ago. Lucky for me I was the first one to contact the seller and had to go speeding down there from Vancouver the next day. The seller was a Volvo guy and didn't really know what he ha...

Re: Sideloader Ratios
Its very interesting and unusual from what I've seen Bobbo. I have an LSD with the S stamped but it still has all the other numbers denoting ratio. Thats the only spot I've seen stampings so I wouldn't know where else to look. I wonder, have you confirmed the actually ration by turning the input sha...

Re: Sideloader Ratios
Bobbo, Thx for the reply. Where is this "40" stamped on the case? I've never heard of this before I thought it was just stamped for example: 11 40 . Meaning 40 Divided by 11 = 3.6363 . or 3.64 . I've not heard of the % of lockup being stamped on the outside of case. I also thought the stan...

Sideloader Ratios
I am in a discussion with several fellow parts hoarders. Our topic is 3.25 Open sideloader diffs. This unit came from an e9 csi. I'm not real familiar with e9s but I assume this diff is the same sideloader that comes in e3s, e12s, and early e24s. The question is: Is the 3.25 ratio open SL found in o...

WTB Euro Series 1 635csi downpipes
I'm hoping to find some series 1 Euro 635csi down pipes. I have been collecting exhaust parts for my e12. These down pipes are 50mm and according to realoem were used on e12 based euro 635s and e12 M535i's. I have a new front muffler and rear muffler bought from the dealer. I'm missing the down pipe...

Very, Very nice car. From the slim description, I would say minimum $15K. Perhaps much more. I would assume it needs a lot of replacement of rubber parts, brakes, hoses, etc etc. More pics would help. Great car. Love the color.

Re: E12 based performance muffler
Interesting, Any other details on the cutting down the middle and flipping? Or more pics of the process? I'm looking at doing something similar to a euro e24 BMW muffler so the exit pipes will line up properly with the e12 rear valence cutout. Its either that or make a new cut out in the valence. Al...

Re: 1985 M635CSi
Those are indeed shockingly low low numbers of these cars still on the road in the UK. Its a wonder they haven't become much more valuable there given the rarity. Makes me curious to find out how many are still alive in NA. Not sure if thats info that is even known.

Re: 4x32 M635 front brake pistons
Thats an interesting product. I assume that front calipers on the M636csi are different from Series I four piston calipers.I should know this but can't remember. I just measured a piston from my 530i and it is 42x30. I see they have the later 635csi single piston kit as well. Edit: According to real...
