Based on the poll, Castrol is doing well.

This makes me happy as this is what I use :-)

I assume you're referring to the equivalent of UK "comprehensive insurance". The annual premium is ?322 sterling. It seems adequate to me, given that the car sits at home on an open driveway (a garage is a luxury in London). Wow! That is the equivalant of $570/year. That is very good. I a...

How many non-M's have full coverage

Guys, Out of all my cars, I am paying the most on the 87 L6 in terms of insurance. It iritates me and I rarely drive it. The problem is that if I do get into a fender bender, the parts can be substancial and thus I justify the full coverage. I doubt that in the case of a bad accident, I will get wha...

Installed a Dinan today.

So far I like it but I'm going to have to order a Conforti so I can compare the two.

Re: Firm Date with Elvis?

You may have posted elsewhere, but what weekend in October are you planning this? The wife and I are planning some trips around that time. The past 2-3 times at Las Vegas, I have sighted Elvis at least twice, (sometimes in grocery stores!) so YES, he'll be there. So is everyone coming with lambchop...

In a word: Oddly. Idle with the Conforti chip is best described as "surging." I don't know if it's the chip, or the idle control unit/valve. Mid-range performance seems better, but the low end seems worse. The coupe has to go in for a pre-track inspection, so I think I will pay a visit to...

Conforti vs Dinan Performance chip

Dan,

I'm curious how the swap of chips went this weekend.

Any thoughts?

Is anybody offended by my Avatars?

Guys,

I tend to use some rather racy avatars. One of which is the current pic of the beautiful Carmen Electra. Since I am the admin, I wonder if I should be more professional and conservative.

Your thoughts?

One issue is that the US folks use the Roadfly Forum for all their E24 questions and fun stuff. There have been a couple that have migrated over a bit such as John. I keep bugging them to use this forum but I think it will take some time.

Re: My Opinions about Pacific SharkFest 2004.

I am sure the SharkFest organizers and helpers have not been sufficiently appreciated and thanked for all the work they did to make Pacific SharkFest 2004 an extremely fun and worthwhile event. That said, as one of the "drones" and not one of the "worker bees", I offer some of m...

Re: widebody E24

Part of me wants to say, "Oh no, a widebody E24!" The other part of me says, "That's cool!" Any more pics of that car floating around? I can't imagine it would look balanced from all angles, but any E24 this unusual is worth investigation IMHO. Nick '84 Euro 635 on the road in S...

Re: Is George W Bush really as stupid as he often appears?

Over in the UK we only really see coverage of Bush linked to the cock-up that is the Iraq situation & in that he always seems very awkward & not very 'camera' aware. He also seems to make a habit of saying the wrong thing at the wrong moment, so does that make him stupid or just a bit inart...

How hard is it to replace struts myself?

I got a great deal on Ebay for a full set of Koni struts for my 1980 633csi. Is this very difficult to replace for the DIYer? I read how to do it and it basically seems straight forward except that you have to be careful with the spring compression tool. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Brian
