Orval, Nice looking car. How have things been going with it recently? I've got an '85 M635 of my own and love it. I had another question for you about Spa. Are regular people allowed to drive the track some times? Like on certain days or something. I was curious because a couple of years ago when I ...

Ignition/Coil question
"I believe the MSD 6A is the replacement. That is what I have in my 87 M6 now. A few years ago I added a MSD Blaster SS coil on their recommendation. " Could you tell me if you felt any improvement after installing these components on your M6? If so, what kind of improvement? This may be a...

Good question.
He said that at some point when they kept trying to start the engine they could hear a hissing sound under the car. They jacked it up, and since the O2 sensor bung had been poorly welded on the exhaust, it was leaking and with more force coming out of it than they felt it should have been. So they c...

Clarification...
After re-reading my post, I wanted to say that I didn't mean to sound like there was no way in hell I'd ever put an aftermarket exhaust on my car. I'm just not looking for a loud one. My driving will amount to Friday drives to work (about 25 minutes of highway driving), around town drives after work...

Success!!! (now the next problem...)
Ok, the engine lives!!!!! That's the good news. The not so good news: the CAT was completely clogged and from there back doesn't look great either, so now I am looking for a new (or possibly only new to me, but good condition) exhaust. Luckily, the headers seem fine so I need everything from the end...

Because the smell of gas is apparent immediately. He first thought was that is was not getting enough gas, but after digging into it and starting it with the remote starter the smell was very much there. I believe he also said that when he cleaned the plugs, tried starting it and then checked the pl...

Thank you very much for the suggestions. I will make sure he checks all of them out. What you described is what was happening to me. I also meant to say that new plugs were installed (oem, not platinum or anything else). And, my applogies for forgetting to give more details on the car... 1985 (built...

Help!! M635 won't start
I am hoping someone (or a few of you) out there can help me out. Here is a description of what happened followed by what has been done so far to rectify to problem: The car had been running fine on a daily basis. Last week, I was heading home from work (about 20 miles/highway driving one way). First...
