What s lovely surprise. I drove through Belgium on the highway through Spa several years ago but in a Renault not a BMW. How I would love to have been there especially since the thermometer was sitting at -32C this morning and my sixer is covered up in the garage until April at the earliest.

The front strut rods are large diameter so probably Bilsteins! Nice to know. The rears are Boge for sure as marked on the tube. Thanks.

Without removing the struts is there a way I can tell if my 1985 635CSI has Bilsteins cartridges in the front struts front such as piston size?.The rears on my car are Boge for sure but I think they are not original since car has 155000miles. PO may have installed replacements at some point.

My 1985 635Csi has 155,000 miles showing or about 250,000kms so nothing remarkable. My 1983 Volvo 240 has almost 350000kms and still running like a champ. I hope that the 6'er will be as reliable as my old "brick".

Thanks for the response I am looking at 215/60/15 also because Michelin doesn't offer a 225/60/15 tire and I have been using Michelins on my car since I owned a 1960 Desoto in the late 60's :-) . What model of Michelins are you using if I am ask? My feeling is that the 635CSi looks best with the TRX...

How can you tell if the power sports seats in my '85 635CSi (6/85) are Recaro or BMW? Is there a label or id plate somewhere or is it obvious from the stitching, panel size etc.

Sorry but car is stored or winter and it is about -25C outside with snow flurries. Attached is one picture taken in the fall just after I bought it. I am planning to post photos next spring. Pictures are poor quality.
