Thanks,

Coilover Brands
Hi, So this has been brought up a couple of times but I'm after brands, after doing a bit of digging I have found systems from Spax, BC, H&R and Gaz Gold, are there any more? The BC units are catching my eye but say they require welding, not a route I want to go down, are there any of the above ...

Re: Jumping Gears at Speed
So update. I gave it basic clean due to weather and took it out for a spin and no good, worth knowing it does do when the cruise control is on as well, I have attached what mine looks like, so the 'boot' version as Brucy called it. I also checked it with a multimeter and seemed ok with no resistance...

Jumping Gears at Speed
Hi, So last night it would seem my 87 635 with the 4 speed automatic with switchable function decided that at speed such as 70 mph with my foot static it kept bouncing from 2000 rpm to 3000 rpm, I assume changing back and forward from third and fourth. When I put the car in sport mode it stopped, ag...

Coolant Draining
Hi, So I was in a McDonalds drive through and my 635 overheated... It was a known issue that on idle or in slow traffic it got warm but full steam was coming out!! After several stops to cool down I got home and the next day it seemed to have boiled the whole lot, went out and bought more, filled th...

Re: [SOLVED] 635 Cranks but stalls immediately
So thanks for all the help as it would seem changing the diode relay (the silver one) worked a treat, just went for a spin and all seems fine, if in the UK worth knowing that relay cost me £42 with VAT from BMW.
Thanks again for the help :)

Re: 635 Cranks but stalls immediately
So Ive pulled both out, From what I can read the orange one which i'm guessing is aftermarket is the fuel relay and the other one is original and when shook you can hear it rattle, hopefully thats gone and I just need to source the part, hard to find in UK though so might have to call BMW unnamed.jpg

Re: 635 Cranks but stalls immediately
Hi, Starter fluid being in the aerosol can which you spray straight into the engine...then yes, spray that in and it starts and ticks over and when that continues to spray it works fine, as soon as the guy stopped the car stopped. On its own steam if you leave it sitting it will start but then dies ...

Re: On Board Computer Issue
Hi,
Mine has just had the same issue start although I have just taken the whole dashboard off disconnecting all the electrics, might be worth unscrewing the dash and check the wires are all connected. When I put mine back together over the weekend I will update you
