Rear S/B links

My Whiteline bar (rear) came with new links which are a beefier item.

The OE links will not fit to the new bar.The front bar will take OE links.

My rebuild

Aussie_6er wrote::shock: WOW, Hardly a piece untouched! 18 months!? Any estimates on man hours?
Will try and do a rough write-up of what's been re-newed/re-furbed.

The only work that was out-sourced was the powder coating of the suspension, cross members, axle etc.

I haven't worked out the price of parts yet!!!!!

Don't know the history. From some research I did it was converted in Leeds(U.K.).The company is no longer!!There are at least 2 more in U.K. that are similar one was still around 2 years ago but I think the other was junked (pity as I could have done with the hood-mine hasn't got one). This is one of...

Try swapping the intensive pump with the normal pump.At least it will prove the pump is good.

Steering wheel recover

Sohlman wrote:Good work.

I want to get my Alpina Wheel redone as it was quite old when i bought it and the recent dampness in the car is not doing it any favours.

James
Please let me know if you can find someone to re-cover steering wheels.

I've got an Alpina and an M1 wheel to do.

Thanks. Ron.

Whiteline sway bars(anti roll bars)

I've got them fitted front and rear on my Highline .

Front 24mm. Rear 18mm.

The fronts are solid bar unlike the BMW tubular item.

Very impressed with the fit and finish come complete with PTFE bushes.

If anyones interested I'll dig out the UK supplier.

They are definitely not for the headlight adjusters. The adjuster system is a sealed self-contained hydraulic system containg anti-freeze fluid. To replace it, the adjusters(on the headlights)have to be fed through the hole in the bulkhead(after removing grommet)where the ECU wiring goes through from ...

M6 power point

Junction S900 is inside the car underneath seat. The battery junction box
is easy to get to on R/H drive but on your L/H drive car it must be directly above the clutch pedal on the bulkhead.

It's the soundproofing under the carpet that holds the water. It's about 1.5" thick and is in 3 parts. It's a PITA to remove without tearing as it's stuck to the floor in places.I found it easier to cut above the pedals, glove box and around the top of the tunnel. It's obviously put into the car be...

I know you have a black chrome finish on yours (I think it's probably black anodised).
As a temp.fix spray a chrome one satin black.
I can send you a chrome one if you want it.

The bolts are not stainless steel and came bright zinc plated from BBS. I had mine bead-blasted and chrome plated and re-fitted using aircraft spec.jointing compound to minimise the dissimilar metal corrosive effect. If you have the same Eibach springs as I've got (very short),you need to set the lock ring on the fourth groove from the top.In this position you do not need to use the spring compressor as the spring is in tension when you tighten the top nut.Any lower than this and the spring will come out of the ...

I'm not sure this is possible on mine, as there's a part of the loom that goes through between the manifold and the head to the starter motor, alternator and a few other bits. There's no connectors to unclip to detach this part of the loom (not yet, anyway) so the manifold has to come off and go bac...
