Also look at Seltec compressors. Same as Sanden. As far as insurance goes, look into Grundy which is a classic car insurer that has been around forever. I pay $275 a year for full coverage and a declared value of $37K No mileage restriction except it can't be used for shopping or a DD

Re: Refinishing BBS RC090 Wheels - Pictorial and Video
I opted to skip the splines, they are an absolute pain to install. Very true. When I bought the new stainless spline bolts, the trick I used was a dab of grease on the spline and once I got them to grab in the grooves, the nut on the back side pulled them tight and I was able to torque them to 22-f...

Re: Refinishing BBS RC090 Wheels - Pictorial and Video
Those bolts are not splined as original. After speaking with several wheel restorers in town, I determined new hardware was not necessary and I had my originals chromed at a cost of about $1.50 for each pair of nut and bolt. Those bolts are torque specific but I am not sure what it was. What I did w...

Re: Schrick 284/280, valve clearances same?
I have a re ground 284 cam done by Schneider cams in CA Their recommendations .010. That cam is nasty and when you get into it, about 2500 RPMs all hell breaks loose. My motor is an M90 over bored, 10:1 compression, ported and all the other goodies like balancing etc. I don't have enough miles on it...

My 81 is clear coated and the color is Polaris. To me it is not redicuoslly shiny. I have heard on non metallic colors thoughts that it isn't necessarily
needed. Your body shop should discuss this with you

Hey Ralph, do you have the socket the flash light plugs into? There's guy on eBay that rebuilds them for around $50. He will even take non working units in trade. He did mine and it looks new. He also sells them outright

Hey you have to remember that is a "jam" nut and not as thick as a regular nut. I am not sure where you can get one.If you have an angle grinder you can cut a regular nut down

Maybe you can get under the and use a coat hanger to see if it opens the drain. Otherwise as has been previously said, you will have to pull the box

Re: Remove centre console panel
If you are talking about the louvered panel, on my 81, the panel has 2 tabs at the top that clip into fasteners. It can be brittle, so go slow. However for a later car they are readily available. PM Sharkski. He is always parting cars and can tell you if this applies to a later car. By the way, my p...

Re: Flasher / Indicator / turn signal intermittent: possibly a relay issue?
on the early Euro cars everything you describe goes through the flasher button Check that first. They can gently be taken apart and cleaned and the contacts "nudged" to put on a little more more tension on the contact arms

This is for an early car. It has a "foot" on the bottom but not a pre pump. The top does not bolt to the tank but rather twists in

Koni rear shocks
These Koni shocks are the rears only for an early car. They were custom rebuilt for me by Jeff lablond(FJB shocks LLC, who does Lamborghini's Koni rebuilding and I think Ferrari as well. I am deep into them, but will take $200 plus shipping which should be about $40

This is the last one I have from the original 24 I had made. It will work for any post 82 cars with either a top or bottom mount canister which should have a 3!/2 diameter . I use a Fram PH8A but it will work with any filter for a big block Ford.I do not include a filter. $145 shipped USA filter par...

On my '86 635 (goldie): I am running B8s with BAV springs (very similar to the H&Rs) and very satisfied with the ride. On my '84 M635 (pumpkin): I am running B8s with H&R springs and also very satisfied with the ride. B8 rear shocks have a c-clip on the body where you can adjust the height ...
