Hello again! I guess those wheels just grew a little on me! On a black 6er, like yours, I thought they looked quite good.. And definitely against the grain or whatever it is called :D Now it's my turn to thank you, for complimenting on my 'fine' 6er. It really isn't that fine just yet, I have a lot...

My '81 635csi also have that dent in the nose. I too saw those wheels on 'wheeler dealers' first, thought they looked bad on the red car there.. But on your car, the 'Diamondschwarz', they actually look kinda good. If I weren't far off in Norway, I just might've bought them myself :D Congratulation...

Well, the baby is now street legal, -temporarily- I have one of those red rectangles in the rear window, that California grants you in order to move your vehicle from one place to bleed money to yet another place to bleed money. And aside from a grinding right front brake and running a touch warm, ...

Sweet Jebus on a bike, I just spent over an hour and a half in my trunk, becoming increasingly impressed with the short sightedness of the engineer/s who designed this unit. I reckon they didn't figure it would still be in service 23 years later or they might have done a more thorough job of it. Ch...

Trunk lid springs?

HELP! Okay, so it looks like all the parts are present but the spring mechanism for the trunk lid is clearly discombobulated. The thing weighs 9Billion pounds and I'm betting this is a simple fix that I am too much of a noob to know the secret handshake to. There are the two long, -extending from s...

I bought 81 633 from Connecticut in 06 for $150, just for the parts, and yes it had those wheels with brand new tires!! Guess which wheels are on the car during the winter months??? Winter? What is this winter of which you speak? Do you know who made these things? I can't find a manufacturer's name...

We put the baby up on jack stands and took a look at the undercarriage today and aside from the requisite drips and grunge, everything looks within acceptable paramaters.

That car is the 2nd e24 I've seen with those wheels, Bobby's is the first. They look much better on a silver car.

Well, it's finally gonna happen. tomorrow at 10:00AM I hand over the Benjamins and a 1985 shark enters my life. I'll be the 3rd owner and I'm stoked! Yes, it's an automatic but that too is mutable. here are some pictures and yes, those ARE the ugliest wheels on the planet! I'm counting on you folks...

Re: Gonna find a 6!

Yep, it most certainly IS Don 'frosty' Fries' vehicle. I spoke with him the other day about it and whether he has anything more exotic (please read, M6) here in SoCal but alas, he does not.

Dang it, I'm gonna FIND a 6!

Okay, the $900 special in Rialto is history. I looked at another 85 5speed in cosmoblau over in Pasadena and I'm going to look at a white one on Saturday in Norwalk. Saturday's car will need some encouragement to run, since it has been sitting for 18 months but the owner is motivated and willing to...

Well, my budget is sort of whatever it costs. I'm pretty handy with the mechanical bits and while I suppose there are easier 6'ers out there, the buy in is appealing. The body is straight, the finish is just oxidized and while I'll probably run screaming from the electrics I have a free garage next...

I came across this 6 and IF it runs I may take the plunge. Here's a link to one of the pics I took. Any and all comments are welcome. Oh, it's an 85' 5 speed with about 190 on the odo. Been sitting for um, several years
