Re: Wiring (electric) seat harness on the 89
There are additional wires under the seat and they may be for the seat heaters. Best to look under your seat and see what's there then research wiring diagrams to see what they're for I've never come across an e24 with seat heaters so I'm not well versed on the system Ralph Hi Ralph, I was hoping s...

Wiring (electric) seat harness on the 89
Hi,
I upgraded my electric comforts to the electric sport seats from a 1985. I'd like to add the heated seat/back to them.
So I was wondering if the existing wiring harness in my 89 is the same for heated electric seats or do I need other wiring harnesses for it to work.
Thanks in advance

WTB Wiring for heated 1985 sport seats
Hi everyone,
I’m thinking about installing heaters into my refurbished 1985 sport seats. Looking for the drivers and passenger side wiring as they are NLA.
Thanks

Re: Heater on all the time
I just got my 1989 635 back on the road, it seems like the heater is on all the time, the fan switch (and fan) work great. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if anyone who replies can send me a email (ericjump@aol.com) that would be helpful also. Thanks for everyone help. Eric Are you refer...

Thanks for sharing Bob, those are great pictures. I'm so bummed that I missed this years event after it was moved to Thursday. I'll plan to join next year even if it stays on Thursday.

SRS light on
Coming home from a cars & coffee, drove over a rather large enough bump in to road which set off my SRS light. I read some posts where folks mentioned to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery, disconnect the orange connectors (both) on the fender wells in the engine compartment. My que...

Re: Replacing seat leather
I've ordered leather to recover front sport seats from World Upholstery 10 years ago. How are they? Have they held up? When I ordered a sample piece, it matched up really well. Currently I think the leather and color have held up really good, when the front seats were rebuilt my shop ordered all ne...

Personally I would try to find a used one but here’s an aftermarket company you can check out. It’s a bit expensive. Good luck

Re: Door rubber seals
You will need to start inserting the seal from front to rear. After installing it, you can put a dab of the 3m adhesive on the auto body where the seal will sit. As the adhesive drys a bit until tacky, you push the seal onto it, if the seal sticks in place then close the door. If not, try again with...

Re: Door rubber seals
Hey ColinC.sg, I’ve finally got around to changing the passengers side last year and had a hell of a time. Had the same problem as you, thought I installed it wrong, tried a few times, took a break and reached out for help. Thanks to a buddy (Klaus), whom recommended 3m’s weatherstrip adhesive. You ...

Re: Hello from a new-old member
Hey Marko, Welcome back. Good to see you still have your E24. As I recall, a few of us did a day drive to Napa and ended with lunch in Calistoga quite a few years ago (maybe 2005 ?) and you were able to join us from Sacramento. As what Steve and Bobbo said, hopefully we'll see you at the next PSF in...

Re: Glovebox torch (flashlight) rebuild with LED
I found the 2 stack at AMAzon in Germany, except it is $33 for it shipped and I am not sure it will make it by the time I leave Portugal, and they don’t ship to the US. I may try locally. What did you do to convert it to a 2 stack? Was all that was basically needed was to remove the plastic wrap or...

Re: Glovebox torch (flashlight) rebuild with LED
I have bought the Varta 2/V250H rechargeable batteries. https://www.batterijimport.nl/media/catalog/product/cache/c0bb400db441ec67b37045c5a66e35a8/V/A/VA55625302059_0.jpg I did an extensive search online and in the US I was only able to find the Varta batteries stacked with 3. I wish I could have f...

Thanks Bob, glad I was able to help. Good job and it’s amazing how bright the little LED is and I’m glad to hear the polarity is not the opposite like mine.

Re: What are sports seats worth
Hard to say, are you selling or buying? Depends on the condition (beat up, used, rebuilt with new cushions or recovered). Starts at a few hundred and goes up from there. Complete new leather would cost around $1200 to $1500. Pictures would help.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I think my likely choice is the e32/e34 drilled & slotted rotors from Stop Tech.
Curious, anyone have any experience with EBC dimpled & slotted rotors?
