Q for you suspension gurus . . .

I talked to Carl about these springs, main question I had was if they are straight or progressive wound :-k The company is outa business now, so that's a dry hole #-o But looking at the nice photos Carl posted, they "appear" to be straight wound :-? Thoughts [-o< Thanks gents 8)

Here's one, Tommy's 635

Here's a shot of the Zender version, was already installed when Tommy picked up his '89, thanks to the holes in the truck lid, he never removed it :-k

Looks OK, some love it, some don't, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder :-?

Shocked indeed . . .

Bert, I would guess that if we deferred some of those repairs, we probably could've soldiered on for quite a while longer [-o< Bottom line is that the missus also gets bored with her vehicles after a few years, so moving on also made sense, as she was not going to want to keep the current X5 for ano...

Stealer or Indy . . .

Yeah, tough call on the place to get your repairs done, again it all started with the friggin' temp sensor that would appear exchanges from one hose to the new one, only to leak like a sieve  A quick call to our repair technician reveals this story, "Oh, they always leak" :-? Admitte...

X5 woes . . .

Hey Brucey, The E53 2006 X5 had a number of issues, both thru normal maintenance and electrical failures :-? Bought 2 new (to me) cars this past weekend :)

Well, with facing about $6k in repairs on our E53 X5 that had only 58k on the clock and was not even 7 years of age yet, we decided that it was time to go #-o And the missus was thinking to get back into a car and scrap the SAV idea, so it was on to 5ers :D Bottom line, we will be picking up an F10 ...

Q for you CAsixer . . .

Since your 6er is an '82, which is known to be the changeover year, you may want to note if your interior is series I or series II type :-k

Will make a huge difference, as door cards are not interchangeable [-X
