Re: 1985 M635CSi

Just got it back from my 'The Man', a chap called Lee Shannon that works out of Bentley, just West of Farnham. He's set the tappets, swapped in all new coolant hoses and replaced a strangely snapped bush on the brake reaction arm - it drives beautifully again - I enjoyed a rapid drive home after pic...

I've replaced the batteries before but I think I must have ended up with non-rechargeable batteries - could you provide a link to the batteries and LED's please?

Someone has nicked the sexy red spark plug caps and the sticker from the boot has fallen off - probably bits of the toolkit taken too.

Side repeaters still upside down, wrong foglights, and still on E34 15" rims.

I was tracking this one from the the outset with a view to owning it - hence my decision not to post details on the forum 😉. Did anybody else bid on it????? Yes, it is #109. Bought sight unseen on eBay, but vendor says the engine runs OK and Just needs new rotor arm & distributor which he will ...

Re: Gas leak?

Gently ease that rubber surround up and off the filler neck. I say gently as if you are too rough you will crack the filler neck. Once it is off you will see the top of the tank, the filler neck to the tank and the breather connections - it'll be obvious where the leak is. Edit to add; while the rub...

Your saying those things didn't happen, I'm suggesting you get out more because they did and they happened in a state been under blue rule for many years So yes, it is a factual answer. I can't help it that you don't like So those two things on their own make it a 'liberal shithole'? May I suggest ...

For the sake of discussion - precisely what makes it ''the liberal shithole" please? To keep it simple and focused on US states, I'll say any state that jails citizens for jogging alone on the beach, without a mask and at the same time condones pooping on sidewalks and maskless rioting is a sh...

Re: UK (Glasgow) M635CSi for sale 1987, low mileage.

Comfort seats are rare in an M635 but not unknown, as are cars without the wheel arch extensions because they were not ordered with the 415TRX wheels - some cars with the 390TRX wheels were not fitted with the extensions, I saw a black/pearl biege one in Leeds many years ago.

Re: M88 M635 throttle cable wanted

I have fitted the alternative cable and it works perfectly. The old cable was repaired and I have it as a spare. It looks as good as new so it seems and throttle cable should be able to replace the cable and sheath with the fittings - although it will be so much easier if it hasn't actually snapped ...

Re: UK (Glasgow) M635CSi for sale 1987, low mileage.

I think the absolute minimum spend would be well over £10k even if you stripped the car yourself; by the time you factor in rust removal, full prep and a full respray, as well as all the bits and pieces of trim that you have to replace to do all that, and add a tiny fighting fund for the oily and el...

My post listed all the stuff the ebay listing said it needed doing as well as a few pointers of mine own; so what do we think a full restoration costs then? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334133246568?hash=item4dcbe4ba68:g:iMAAAOSwj71hL4-4 Because this car quite obviously needs a full glass-out, full ta...

Good luck with the conversion - I'm glad Ron and Rob managed to get the parts to you somehow. Re: Underbonnet (hood) water deflectors.

I was looking at the drivers side of my RHD M635 the other day. There is no protection for the intensive water pump or large cable grommet, and simply putting an mirror image of the nearside type would do very little to provide protection. If I get time and I'm bored I might wander out to my garage ...
