Re: WTB - Sunroof panel

Re: Value of '88 Zinno/Silbergrau M6
I could maybe talk myself up to $30k, but certainly not $40k. One just sold on BaT for a little over $40k but with none of the issues you cite. The one owner car does count for something, but if that one owner hasn't maintained it well, it kinda cancels itself out. Good luck!

Attn DFW area: '86 635 in salvage yard w/ airdam
I grabbed a few parts off of this yesterday and it's pretty well picked over, but the airdam is still there. The car took a bit of a hit on the extreme left quarter so the bracket is bent, but I think could be straightened. I didn't see any cracks and it looks like it would be serviceable. Someone d...

Re: Original Radio for 85 M635
In the UK there was no "original" radio as the cars came to the dealers without one fitted. The dealers fitted whatever the customer required. That's really interesting....I had no idea! Thanks for sharing! My M635 was purchased in Germany and imported privately to the states when new....

Original Radio for 85 M635
Greetings all! I'd like to find an original radio for my M635...it has a modern CD player and just doesn't look right....but I don't know exactly what OEM was. I have a couple Alpines out of e28's but I believe the M635 got something different....Becker perhaps? My build date is 11/84. Any help woul...

Re: Power Steering Saga
if you have a source of air bubbles (NB most commonly these appear when you have a leak on the feed hose to the pump) then you will get all kinds of weird noises. If you have had air bubbles in the system, don't expect them to go away immediately. Bubbles hang around in ATF for ages, especially whe...

Re: Power Steering Saga
What a pain, you've done a lot of work on the PS system. A little more history may aid in the solution. Which fluid are you currently using in the PS system? Have you flushed the system several times? I've read that fluids should not be mixed. Place a magnetic in the PS filter reservoir to check fo...

OK gents....this has been going on a long time and would appreciate your input. I have a '85 M635 which has been undergoing a partial restoration. I've had the engine out replacing all of the cam gear/chain/tensioner/oil pump--essentially all of the wear parts without rebuilding the head or bottom e...

Only the small side marker light should be illuminated with parking lights on--turn signal light should not be on.

Re: Anyone bought these "OE Supplier" taillights on ebay?
Don't know how it happened but I bought a pair from ECS genuineBMW last night for $99.00 each just looked again now and they are $148 each again Yeah, I found those too. I got pulled away from my computer and when I came back the next day, they had a "price change". I am seeing $136.80. A...

Re: WTB: M88/3 Yellow Throttle Body Screw Covers
Yellow covers only came from the factory. If a car has yellow covers on it, it means that the covers have never been off and the TB's have never been tampered with. You can only buy replacement blue covers for an M88/3, S38 or an S14. If a car has blue covers then TB's have been adjusted. You canno...

Intermittent Groan from Power Steering
Gents, I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I had the engine out of my M635 for an extended period of time. When I put everything back together, I got a fairly consistent power steering pump groan despite repeated bleeding. I replaced the pump with a rebuilt unit, the filter and the hose from t...

Bosch Silbers, WR9LS. There is a NGK alternative as well, but I don't know the model/part #. I've had a '86 and an '88 535 that the previous owners put Bosch Platinum and Platinum Plus plugs in respectively and both idled horribly. Changed to Silbers = much better. I don't know about non-resistor vs....
