An update on my problem..... After receiving confirmation from you all that my car would only work with a 055 ECU, I asked the mechanic to remove it from the car. I then found a place in Sydney (Parramatta to be precise) that advertised on the internet service and repairs for all types of ECUs. Funn...

could be a lot of things, yes.... hit list; -power to coil? -signal to coil? (switched low by ECU) -power to ECU? -if power but no signal; - check ref and speed sensors (if possible resistance and signal output) -check for +12V 'cranking signal' (pin 4 (from memory, so check this) of ECU, via unloa...

Hi Orlando standard ecu on M635 is an 055 they are few and far between in Oz. More often than not is will be some thing other than the ecu, maybe talk to the owner of the M635 for sale in Sydney at the moment to see if you can borrow his to prove it one way or another. Hi Dave, I think 055 are few ...

Thanks guys for the replies. The problem has been isolated to: No spark. Brucey, are you suggesting that the no spark problem is not related to a potentially faulty ECU? As I said in my original post, the car is with the mechanic and I am praying they find the issue and hopefully not to do with the ...

Which ECU was fitted in 1985 Euro M635?

Does anybody know exactly which ECU was fitted to the 1985 Euro M635? The engine in my car is the M88 not the S38 if it makes any difference. I have looked in RealOEM and it lists a few part numbers. I have a problem with my car not starting and the symptoms very much indicate a fault in the ECU. I ...

It has to be vegemite!!! It really looks like shit and if you are game enough to put it in your mouth it tastes like it too!!!

I have eaten bull balls (testicles) and even that was edible compared to vegemite.

Completely agree Mark, great price for all they do. Problem is that I am in Australia and it would have been quite a task to get them to USA and back and I assume that would have been a very expensive exercise too. I was happy to do the job myself as I get great satisfaction seeing the final results.

Welcome to the forum!! The wind noise is a common problem in the sixers due to the frame less nature of the windows. On inspecting your windows, it is likely you will find that there is a gap between the glass and the rubber seal. It is PITA job to adjust the door to get the glass to nicely sit on t...

Amigo Jose,

It has been pissing down in Sydney today, making it a bit hard to take pictures. I hope these helps. My car is a 1985 and I don't know if they are different in your 1987.

I left the size of the pictures big, to hopefully give you more detail.

Re: Refinishing style 5's

Orlando, Very nice! Way to go with the sandpaper grits, and polish. It sure feels good when you finish, and they look so good. I also did my my style 5's. Mine took me 18 months, mainly because of my monthy budget. Thanks Jay. Mine took me about two weeks (removing the centers set me back two days)...

I admit I was cringing at the thought of changing to gold centers, but as I scrolled down to the final result, I have to admit it looks great!. I have the same wheels; the outer lips are getting shabby and I have been considering how I would eventually try to fix that. It helps to see that it can b...

I refinished my style 5 wheels

I always wanted my style 5 wheels mirror polished and the centers painted in gold. I thought that they would suit the car really well since it is bronzit beige in colour. Before embarquing in this project, I did a lot of research and was prepared (I thought) for any eventualities!! I was really worr...
