Re: My aftermarket exhaust is too loud!

The Walker 13033 muffler I bought is for the 628. It did fit my 635 perfectly in terms of shape and the size of the tubes, except for the bracket, I think on the older models it was clamped around the exhaust. In my case, however, there was a bracket welded to the exhaust just above the end pieces. ...

Re: Smoke testing

I think I found it.
The blue tube attached to the bottom side of the manifold needs to be connected to a small brown tube that goes into the interior, to which I believe goes to an interior sensor.

Can someone confirm this?

Smoke testing

I did some smoke tests on my car to find vacuum leaks. Found one in the edge of the air check valve (part.no.1163170627), managed to seal it with some silicone sealant. I did find no other leaks but that could be due to the fact I don't quite know where to connect the smoke tester. Tried to connect ...

Re: engine cutting out when driving

Did all these issues start at the same time?
My first guess is that they are not related but that's just a guess.
I had a similar situation with a Peugeot once, the car stalled and was able to start again right after. Found out the fuse box was bad, it had a bad connection.

To both questions, no. Not new, no replicas.
Your only chance is a used one which to be honest, are not coming up for sale often.

This is an old topic, I know, sorry to open it again.
But I thought this was important information related to this topic.
BMW has restarted the production of these tail pipe tips.
I just picked up 2 from my local BMW dealer.

Well, with a lot of love this could end up as a great looking Euro. This car has had a special history, that's for sure. In the ad text you can read that the car has been owned by the current owner since 1997, who has barely driven it. The story is that an American soldier took this car to Germany b...

Re: FS - UK RHD M635CSi #499

Always fun a discussion about taste. :D
I prefer the late Highlines, I like the more modern eighties look over the original slim design.
If I had to choose one, I would definitely go for the Zinnober red Highline.
