Sharkfan You still don't get it-- "but deleting discussions on Donald Trump is exactly what he and his supporters want because it removes facts from the equation." This is what we're talking about. You just demonized 75 million Americans because they don't see your facts. I think demonize...

Re: Talk women (or men), politics, gripe about your 6er (or other ride), and speak your mind.

sharkfan, and everyone else for that matter, I've been thinking about my response to this thread, especially in light of the fact (also duly pointed out by sharkfan in another more recent thread) that Trump just made history, again, by being the only president in USofA history to be impeached, twic...

Re: President Donald J Trump makes history...

As I understand it, the main driving force behind the 2nd Impeachment is two-fold; 1. To stop Trump from talking about, inciting or carrying out further attacks on the U.S. Constitution before the inauguration of Biden on the 20th January, and 2. If successful, to enable a vote on dis-barring Trump ...

President Donald J Trump makes history...

President Donald J Trump makes history as the first U.S. President to be impeached twice.

I believe I have posted this in the correct place;

Talk women (or men), politics, gripe about your 6er (or other ride), and speak your mind.

That's fine if the Mods agree but lets not mislead people that politics and speaking your mind are allowed and so lets state it so there are no misunderstandings and upsetting of forum members.

Talk women (or men), politics, gripe about your 6er (or other ride), and speak your mind.

This is the description of the Saloon area but it is has now proven to be out of date.

Please can the Mods change it to describe what subjects can be discussed in the Saloon please, as Politics and Speaking your Mind are very much now NOT allowed.

Many thanks,

Sharkfan.

Re: Happy Christmas!

Seasons Greetings to one and all; gods, no gods, sky fairies or Jedi's - have a good time at this time of year and if you can't actually be with family or friends the phone, pen and keyboard is there to let them know you're still thinking of them.

Has anyone ever seen an actual centre console telephone console option... As do I. And it still lights up, but being analog it gets no signals from the cell towers. It's times like this that I miss my desktop computer. That's where all my detail pictures of my cars are located. Pop up a picture of ...

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?

M635 MoT passed with only a mild last minute panic due to no brake lights - some rapid stabs of the pedal freed off the brake light switch without having to remove the trim panels to actually get to it.

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?

Finally got around to some long overdue replacements on my M635. Front ARB droplinks and bushes and bush retainers - as it happens the bush retainers were ok but I replaced them anyway; getting them back on was a bit of a saga though. small bottle jack to compress the bush and retainer up to the cha...

Spotted a bronze 'D' registration 635CSi this morning driving into and parking up in Ripley, Surrey - anyone on here?

Re: Replacement Exhaust

Another thumbs up for the Fritz system; sounds good, doesn't drone, lasts for ever. I put one on my ageing 635 two years ago and will do the same without hesitation when my M635 needs a new exhaust.

Re: Rear aircon unit for UK car

I bought a US rear AC set up a few years ago and fitted it to my 1985 M635; it came with the fan and controls but I didn't get all the pipes so I just run it as a coolbox and/or vent fan.

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?

Took my M635 out for a run - it was only the second run out this year but not because of Covid19, because I have been arranging, or rather re-arranging, my front driveway for the arrival in a few weeks of a double garage to hide the ageing Alpinas away in.

Re: Fritz Bits

I had to buy an exhaust system two years ago for my 635CSi so after some deliberation bought a Fritz system. I also very much doubt the performance claims but it does sound throaty and more importantly does not noticeably drone or resonate at all - a fairly common problem with some poorly designed s...

I actually drove both of them in the same day today! My alpineweiss M635CSi had been evicted from my garage due to needing to get underneath my E39 Alpina for a bottom scrub and Dynax S-50 spray before it's MoT next week and the impending salty roads, so that got a run out to a local car meet this m...

There's a nice E39 Sport Touring on the driveway too.

Re: stuck door!

I'm always up for a Brucey challenge! So for reference there is 30cm from the swage line on the door to the top of the door bumper trim. Arm yourself with a WD40 straw and then head to the door. From the door trim find a spot about 5 or 6cm up from the trim and insert the straw with a 30 degree angl...
