Hi All, Has anyone out there got a good copy of either or both of the; "The Average Man has......" or " A Message to Malcontents" contemporary advertisements for the Six Series. I've got teeny-tiny copies of each and have always looked for A4 copies but with no success. The reaso...

22 Grand

Bite me

Spend a quarter of that and have a fab drive that's been really loved instead of moth-balled and neglected for it's main purpose - to drive and be driven.

With all the work he's done, perhaps less of a fake, more of a fantastic replica of a VERY rare car. 8)

Emissions and everything else - no problems.

PITA gearbox reverse light switch - 1 hour of knuckle scraping and a gallon of WD40.

Result, another 12 months 5 litre burbling.

Hmm, This may be a UK only thing. Apparently the last few 635's (as opposed to M6's or M635's) were also finished with a special paint finish, extra leather here and there, and some other upgraded bits and pieces - somebody did post an excellent and concise article on the differences - I just can't ...

Hiya, There are two Philips (X-slot) scres at the front of each seat edge that screw into the footwell bulkhead. The screw heads are hidden behind two small cut flaps of carpet; undo the screws, remove, and slide the setas down and the bottom edge forward, they should pop straight out. HTH, Sharkfan.

Update: Despite my best efforts budgetary constraints (TVR service, M6 service, Garden furniture - all welcome for beer tasting if you're passing) are probably giong to limit me to E34 15"'ers for the time being. My only solace is that the roads up here are deteriorating at a far greater rate t...

I've been toying with the idea of an E34 540 touring for a little while and I might shoot off to look at one this weekend.....and give a prospective 6 owner a crawl over my M6....Durham way.

Dave, That Highline's not burning or smoking is it ?? I've always stuck with 10/40 semi-synthetics and never had a whiff of smoke out of 6er's from 100k to 240k miles - I've always thought the real trick is regular enough oil changes - don't cheat or kid yourself - when the lights come up - change i...
