I'd expect you to be able to pick up a regulator for a lot less than that.

Have you got the correct fuel pressure regulator?

As well as the above, which I agree with, I think you might do well to suspect the operation of the master cylinder insofar as the seals might be passing fluid, especially when temps under the bonnet get pretty hot.

I don't think there is a specific orientation for the top mount.

If it's the yellow caps I think you mean, aren't they intended to be single use only? And wasn't there something about new ones were invariably blue and therefore even with a casual glance you could see if the ITBs had been "tampered" with.

Sounds like you need a new one of these.
