Ralph,
The end cap in the Avatar photo looks like pre World Bumper end cap.
Wouldn't a 633's last year be in 1984?

Re: Power steering pump misbehavior
I didn't know exactly what causes cavitation so I searched and found this. Cavitation in pumps is caused by excessively low pressure at the pump inlet. A blockage or restriction such as a clogged filter or part-closed valve mounted on the inlet to the pump can cause it. (A partially clogged hose, ma...

Re: Power steering pump misbehavior
When you say "pump the brakes", you're referring to raising the level of the reservoir?
That's where you see the foam? I'll assume when the car is running the brakes work ok.
As long as there are no leakes in the system, I'm leaning to cavitation in the pump.
That's all I got.

I don't think there's a problem. It's difficult in my opinion to see the level
of fuel in the tank and the amount of gallons removed.

Hi Song, I swapped a 5 speed in my six. Manufacture date 1/86. The drive shaft only had 2600 miles on it when removed. It's OEM BMW. Look like the 86 and 84 use the same shaft. # 26111225670 My shaft did not use the guibo. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=5384-USA-01-1986-E24-BMW-635CSi...

Re: Cold start injector
For future cold injector installations. I broke the injector into pieces since
I was replacing with a new one anyway so I could get a better angle to remove the screws. I then used Allen bolts
to install, making the lineup with the screws easier to tighten.

Re: WTH? parasitic battery drain coming from main relay?
Something in the circuit is triggering the relay. Just as you would check draw by pulling fuses,
I would do the same idea with connections to the relay circuit.

Re: Best Sparkplug for a stock '87 635CSI?
I don't know the specs of the #66's,they may be hotter. The engine was rebuilt with a B35 Hartge head with the larger valves and hotter cam. Custom piston to 10:1 compression and other mods pulled the horses from 182 to 265. It pulls like a freight train and the plugs seem to be fine. There are micr...

Re: Access rear drain holes.
Select a tube size that will fit into the front holes. Slide the tube back, it should
enter the back hole. Compressed air will do the rest. The exits are the slotted
holes behind the quarter windows.

In the 70's when I was racing a 510 Datsun, Autolite was our go to plug for best performance.

I swapped the complete World Bumper, including the air dam. The US dam doesn't attach on the sides the same as the World. Also had to drill a hole in the quarters for an additional stud for the World end caps. I think that if you don't use the World shocks and World trim, you'll have problems fittin...

Oversteer can be controlled by tire pressure to change the slip angle,
that's how you would control oversteer with any tire you choose.
