Re: January 2018 Catch up?

I'm getting close with the S38B38. It's back together now and being wired with the Megasquirt PRO III on Monday. Ready for a drive in my M140i late May or June. Josh latest up to date engine shots here taken yesterday. https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?2119344-S38B38-into-my-1977-e12...

Re: January 2018 Catch up?

My 633's new engine is close. The bare engine is back together and ancillaries are going on as we speak. It will not be ready for a May drive but as soon as it is, i'll be driving no matter what so will invite all along. I'm still good for a late May drive in my M140i. It's a weapon and rockets alon...

Yep, getting that engine right has been a saga for shore. Once we start back up hopefully we can get 2 to 4 drives in a year.

Shall we pencil May 12 into the Calendar now? I need to check with Rosie but otherwise. Sounds like a decent enough date.

Re: January 2018 Catch up?

New car is in to replace the Renault RS265 that was unfortunately bent on the M1 to Newcastle. Mechanic is really pushing the engine builder. Hopefully,...................................... hopefully the bare engine is together this week with ancillaries going on next week. So May is now looking st...

I'm going to get satellite tracking and phone app camera all into an alarm system on my 6'er. 9 years of building and huge expense, stress and costs for someone to steal it for free is simply not going to happen if I can help it.

Love the car. More than eye candy, pure porn for most of us!!! :)

Re: WTB Front strut brace

April run is not on as Ellis and I were made aware it is the Easter long weekend. So we'll re-schedule in a few weeks for May. Would love to see the car with the new strut. Walloth & Nesch are brilliant. If I buy on a Monday I generally get by Friday of the same week. not bad out of Germany.

I've got one i'm not using anymore. PM me. Need to check where it is. Check my 633 post in Bimmerforums to see it. May have a pic somewhere. I'll take a look. Go here for the link which has a few pics. E12 chassis car though. https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?2119344-S38B38-into-my-1...

Re: January 2018 Catch up?

I'll put aside that weekend now. Car has aircon. Thank God. Isaac can come along and we may get a guest appearance from Rosie. Happy for Saturday or Sunday. My parents are in Bowral so a Southern Highlands drive is brilliant for me. I'll spam Trev on Facebook and see if he is in. Would be good to se...

Re: January 2018 Catch up?

Ellis, I should now be good for a late March early April drive. My 633 CSi engine is still taking time. The engine builder will see me pick it up and go elsewhere shortly if he does not pull his finger out. Pip Barker has finished my racing M30B37 so I'll pick that up shortly to go into the E3 racer...

What's the spec/exact colour code of that red you painted the floor with? I'd be interested in something like that for my E3 racer.

This is a lovely looking racer.

Have you thought of one of these air boxes? https://www.ebay.de/itm/BMW-M5-E34-Carb ... SwK7FWh~nh

Let us know when it goes on sale. Gaz may need to fight me, or his wife, or both of us.

Re: January 2018 Catch up?

Guys, I've now got to work Saturday this week. I've got a client going on holidays Sunday and need to get the work done. I need to meet him on the central coast. Either enjoy the drive with me grumbling at not being there or feel free to delay to late Feb. My engine builder has promised 1st week of ...

Re: M30B35 Engine for sale

Depending on km's and condition $650 to $1,000. Usually if someone can hear it running it is worth closer to $1,000. I've seen them go over the last 5 years for $500 to $950. A few were asking $1,250 to $1,750 for an engine they claim was performanced up. You need to prove the low 'k's. I saw a guy ...

Still available Ellis if you are a go.

If just you, Denis and myself we are caught with just 2 6'ers. Should we delay to later in Feb when my 6'er is back on the road?

Let me know.

Re: January 2018 Catch up?

Cannot promise Rosie and/or Isaac. Bought Rosie an X5 diesel and she is concerned I'll race it, hehehehe. May need to be the Renault. My 6'er and the racer are 3 weeks from engine dyno. Then a few weeks to get the engines back in. What a wait. Years!!

Re: January 2018 Catch up?

I'll chat to Rosie and should be in, minus the car. The engine should be ready late Jan as the engine builder in Sydney now has all the parts. Pip Barker is also bringing up my Group C race engine for the E3 Jan 30 and that should drop straight in post a bench top dyno tune post the 633's engine bei...

Re: January 2018 Catch up?

That would do nicely. I'm so close with my car. Feb drive would be do-able with a possible late Jan. I'm just awaiting one seal caught in a Pelican Parts purchase held in customs. I'll put the kids seat in for my 4 year old and then it's time for a year of lovely drives. I might also head to Bathurs...

January 2018 Catch up?

Hey guys, Many months/years and no drives. Should we catch up in early 2018 for a brunch? Let me know your thoughts. I'm near the end of my massive engine build. Back together December but then need to await bench dyno. Awaiting one seal caught in customs. Pip Barker ordered under USD$1000 but when ...

Re: m30 engine builder Australia

Me, but I've learnt you are best off getting a specialist to build it for you. What advice do you need? I'd go for a complete M30B35 engine (they are around $650) and then get it to a performance engine builder for a complete re-build/refresh.

Car getting closer. Engine now going back together. Was meant to be dyno'd and delivered to Elie (Mechanic) by end of August but may run into September. To say I have 6'er withdrawal would be the worlds biggest understatement. If someone is after a brilliant mechanic and you are in Sydney, let me kn...
