Re: What did you do to your E24 today?

Took delivery of six new inlet manifold rubber bellows for the M635 - these were unavailable for the last few years and my 'The Man' had warned me mine had started cracking when he did the tappets last summer, but acting on a hunch from a different BMW forum I rang BMW and they were in stock at a re...

Re: Adding an interior light to an otherwise dark place

I am struggling to find the pictures but I am sure I posted them at some stage but for my Series 2 car I utilised the pop-in plastic cover for the sunroof motor. I drilled six holes in it and in the centre four I put four bright white LED's which come on when the 'B' pillar lights come on and in the...

Re: The Fleet Review

Virtual bonus points for spotting the 635CSi  Lol! Appears to be in the same location as the 'Feb 2021' pic above!? Yep, still hiding round the corner under a cover - it did spend 8 months in the garage whilst the E38 was away for 'attention' but it's been pushed back out into the cold. It is...

Re: The Fleet Review

Blimey, another 5 years have gone by but no change to the Fleet this time - I did put up a double garage to hide some cars from the elements and completely change the driveway/access. The wifes 435d is just out of shot... https://content.invisioncic.com/f322113/monthly_2022_11/IMG_5693.thumb.jpg.f7c...

I thought the reason that Trump was in the news so much was the fact that all his chickens had come to roost in Courts across America?

Re: 1985 M635CSi - my Great White Shark

Good to hear it’s all well. Unusual for any car to pass the MOT without any advisories- well done! I've had to dig deep into my pockets over the last few years on my Fleet so they are nigh on perfect now - this old thing also passed without advisories the day before - but bear in mind 18 months ago...

Re: 1985 M635CSi

So back to my car which has just passed its 34th MoT test with no advisories - I have a list of little niggles to over come; OBC backlight bulbs need replacing Front offside fog light needs alignment. Check control panel surround is cracked After market alarm/immobiliser bright led flashes continuou...

With the super skinny led striplights that are easily available these days it should be easy to tuck them up and under the edge of the centre console and have them shining down that way shouldn't it?

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?

My 635CSi lives outside but washed and polished and with a cover over it. I have had an empty garage for a few weeks while my E38 gets resprayed but due to laziness/absent-mindedness/stupidity I didn't get around to popping the 635 in there. I went away overnight and due to the storms I returned to ...
