I seem to remember reading that to fit the double chain in a Euro engine, you need to have one of the strengthening webs of the block machined for clearance - which weakens it. I considered the dual row timing change when refreshing my M635 (133K miles) but was told about the additional machining n...

Thanks, Ralph :D The headers really do resemble a "bundle of snakes" which I have heard them called. The ceramic coating makes the pipes look like polished aluminum. Jeff said they would not turn the blueish color like chrome plated headers do where they get the hottest. 7 months and count...

I suggest you look at a Sanden compressor conversion kit. The replacement BMW compressor is likely to be more expensive and the Sanden utilizes newer technology and has the potential to offer improved cooling.

Abel is not an honest seller

All I can say is don't buy anything from this guy unless you personally inspect it 1st. He is not an honest seller. I bought 2 tail light lenses from him for $59. After receiving my money he sent me an e mail saying that he had dropped one of the lenses and it was broken. He offered to substitute a ...

"M" pinstripe

I love the pinstripe with the "M". Is that something that is available ... or is it custom work ?

Just with the differential change. More with the 6 speed, but I would try just the differential change 1st, then decide about the 6 speed.

3% more if you swap those 255/40's on the rear for 265/35's :D

What about going a step further .... to the 4.10/1 differential ratio. If mileage or high speed cruising is not your goal, you could pick up 10% more punch with this change alone. I think a 4.27/1 ratio is also an option (15% more low speed punch).
