After reading his updated description, I am still baffled by it. The car is an early E12 chassis 635 csi, nothing more, nothing less!! Having an ///M badge on the boot does not make it an M635. This is very misleading to an unsuspecting buyer. The headline still states M635. I would also be hugely ...

A very interesting thread. I have read the dealer's description which has me even more confused even though he has "corrected" it! Since he is offering to ship it to the UK, I wonder if he is hoping that a hapless buyer will be confused enough to assume it is a real "M" - not fin...

I would imagine that you could experience cooling problems whilst stationary for any length of time, but think that just having the electric fan whilst the car is moving may work OK. Obviously by removing the fan clutch etc. you will increase the power output to the rear wheels. If you do decide to ...

After reading some of ML's bills that came with a couple of my cars, I'm surprised that the quote is so low. There again, once they've got your car in their workshop, who knows what they'll find that needs doing

The odometer and trip are mechanical so you'll have to remove the speedometer. Probably easiest to swap with a working speedo rather than try to get yours repaired.

You're drawing alot of current. You could try wiring directly back to the battery. I'm no auto electrician, but maybe you need to fit a supplementary battery with a charge controller or high output alternator - or both!

Do you really need those amps?

I can't see that it makes any difference (apart from ease of fitting as its a long bolt). If you have concerns, why not install it as per the exploded diagram you posted?

Your Jeep just leaks.. R12 was around for a long time, well known, worked well, patents were expired and innexpensive to manufacture, copied the world over by many and no one was making any money off of it. Oh yes, there was some question about impact to the environment. For which of those reasons ...

Re: Does the heater/defroster motor have a fuse?

My fan speed control is frozen in the full on (max) position. I would like to STOP the defrost/heater fan fron running all the time until I can replace the control unit. I hope there is a fuse in the box to pull, if so what # is it. Thanks Finsup You raise an interesting question here. Even though ...

I agree with Brucey. Best to buy a stock of drop in gas whilst its still available. If you can find R12, then go for it. Why is it that R12 systems seem to hold their charge for MUCH longer than R134a? I am of the opinion that this is all led by marketing and special interest groups. They want us to...

You want to make sure you're asking for Classic Car insurance although you'll need to have a daily driver as well. I've been with Heritage for the last couple of years with no problems. If you're looking to have agreed value cover on your car then stay well clear of Adrian Flux - I ran into problem...

So, a friend of a friend drives an e28. He posted this photo on facebook. Apparently, HE REMOVED THE SPRINGS so that his car would look like this. http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/215094_1968261973313_1445877023_32239531_4411_n.jpg That is stupid but hoestly, this looks like a P-chop ...
