Re: M635 Wizard Radiator

I can't answer your q re fitting an M88 but concur with John's comments. They supplied mine without the temp switch bosses (as requested) since I have a single pusher fan run via the ECU. The radiators are very well made and deeper in the core so provide better cooling, but will be closer to your cl...

Re: Got gauges?!? Series 1 custom VDO gauge installation

I then got really serious and went the whole hog

This was a whole lot of work but is reversible , not that I would ever revert to the factory setup. LED backlighting is separately dimmable but also connected to the factory dimmer on the light switch.

Re: Got gauges?!? Series 1 custom VDO gauge installation

Hers my first go.

I'm pretty sure (need to check) I still have this "binnacle" if anyone wants it, less gauges - postage only. Is styled to replicate the main binnacle. Double sided tape to top of dash and ran cabling through air vents so no holes

Send me your email and I'll send you the full Group 2 Homologation Spec's - pdf file too large to attach

Me thinks though even if you mange to fill those guards you wont have a very practical road car.

Re: Opinions on exterior mod that won't be "visible"

I am considering replacing the reflectors in the front bumper side surrounds with actual lights

What's the reason? Interesting different laws in different lands. That sort of thing wouldn't be allowed over here. especially being orange/red. However we don't emission test like you guys in Cal.

Re: 1984 633CSi Rises again!

Yeah you need the right hose. You mind find it difficult to get the otiker clamp tool on the hoses connecting to the filler tank neck in which case look at using fuel injection hose clamps. They pull up evenly and don't cut into the hose like a jubilee clamp. Also be aware is easy to break the hose ...

I also use the Autosol - just apply by hand using bare fingers or latex gloves Once I have a good shine I then apply a 2-3 coats of Poorboys https://www.poorboysworld.co.uk/shop/poorboys-world-wheel-sealant/ I tried using the mops as Don mentioned, but gave that away as the paint on the centres will...

Re: Trickle Charger on Cigarette Lighter?

Maybe a better solution would be to install a dedicated socket, wired directly to the battery, which could be located somewhere out of sight.
Is what I did above^^. Maybe isn't clear, that's a lighter socket next to the isolating switch

Re: Trickle Charger on Cigarette Lighter?

I've done this for a number of years now, using a C-Tek charger. See pic. Works fine and I have a modern ECU.
I do the same with my boat.
