that's a great price for 5 of those wheels.. as you say they go for more than that second hand / refurbed.
Tempted to call BMW and see if they have any in Europe

Re: Headlamp / wash wipe restoration
Had a strong coffee and started re-plumbing the washer system yesterday. Ran new lines to headlamp washers, cleaned the water reservoir and lubed all the wiper assembly in the motors. Result, the headlamp wipers now work, only get one wipe on activation rather than what i think they should do i.e. 3...

Out of curiosity do you mind letting us know what the dealer charged for the set?

Re: Headlamp / wash wipe restoration
Rob, they look excellent.. got me thinking now! Have stockpiled all the bits to redo the plumbing (new pipe / one way vales / tee) for the washers and will investigate the wipers at the same time. Currently have nearside working so hope the offside wipers just need a good clean. Well done - will giv...

Re: Topsider Fluid Extractor
Have one (think its made by 'laser') that I use on the van and daily driver, definitely a useful tool to have. Not tried it on the M635 but for all modern cars it seems to work well - believe this is what the main dealers use these days too. Works best with cars that have a top fitting cartridge oil...

Re: Heater blower transistor failure mystery...
The Bentley manual has a complete section on trouble shooting HVAC. Including the voltage specs. If you don't have one, I could scan that section and e-mail you. Jumping in on the thread... would be really useful if you could scan the bentley blower fault diagnosis section and send to me... not the...

Spot on Don, thank you for the guidance. Just completed offside sunroof drain plumbing, now anything that gets past the sunroof felt seal will actually exit under the car instead of into the cills #-o Will do the nearside over the coming days. 1) pull original drain tube up through into cabin, as Do...

Re: BBS style 5 wheel
Colour coordination is not my thing (just ask the misses!) .. I reckons for a red car then a set of nice polished silver / chrome wheels would work nicely. Now those gold centered BBS with the red insert, dark car could wear them? They do look nice and retro and something different. My set of RC090 ...

If you don't need the money then keep it sir (assuming its garaged and coddled).
Suspect the value will only go one way.. in the meantime you get to drive it.

Its the problem with being an amateur, always get a task sussed just as you end it.

Sent you a PM the other day, your message box should be top right of the screen (just under search bar on mine anyway). If the sensors didn't fix then may be worth trying the immobilser avenue.

Re: And you wonder why the front sills and floor rust ?
Cheers Don - you have given me some hope that this can be done. Tricky bit will be pulling the very stiff tube around so as to get access through the speaker panel but it shall be done somehow. Have ordered 2x different OD 15mm water pipes from ebay and when they arrive will have a go and report bac...

Re: No start / now intermittent start 633CSi
The OBC and imobilizer are still in the car. I removed fuse 27 which should disable the imobilizer but that doesn’t change anything. Will take it in the shop after the weekend and replace the ref and speed sensor. Hopefully that will make the difference. Found another post on this forum that solved...

Re: And you wonder why the front sills and floor rust ?
Working my way through my car removing every bit of rust on it . Whilst removing the bad areas at the bottom of the LH A pillar / floor I had the chance to look up into the sill ( Rocker ) and found the reason for the rust... The sunroof drain terminates about three inches from the base of the sill...

Re: No start / now intermittent start 633CSi
If you have the OBC and the factory immobiliser is still connected it could possibly be this.
Mine would do the same, intermittent no spark ... turned out it was the immobiliser which was preventing the spark for random reasons. No pattern to it, sometimes did spark sometimes didn't.

Brucey, my daily is a V6 diesel and coupled with an auto box it might not be exciting but it makes a lot of sense and for a lazy but fast drive.
Shame Mr Khan has declared war on diesels. Went into London the other week and parking a diesel now incurs a 50% surcharge on the meter

Mine would randomly fail to start / spark.. few days later would be ok.
If your immobiliser acts up you may get no spark despite having power at the coil.
