Ugly '87 Bumpers

Anybody know how interchangable the 5 mph bumpers on a 1987 are with the trimmer and more attractive 2.5 mph bumpers on the 88s and up?

Keep 'em! I was so taken by the look of JR's, I bought a set from CoupeKing's to run untill I find an original set.

I heard the Alpina rims from cars exported to Japan are really straight because they don't have potholes there. CAn anyone sustantiate?

Dash and door card replacements

Hey men, I need to know the best resource for buying a replacement dash and top pieces for the door cards and rear seat. Does anyone re-mold these or do I have to find salvage parts and have them refurbed? Reason: I have a highline M6 with the leather dash and door cards. I live in Colorado which ha...

JR, your rims look amazing! I have to say, the black looks much more sportlich (athletic in German). The conversion is seamless.

Open Lug Alpina on 87 M6?

OK, I have had OCD issues with picking a rim style to update my OEM metrics to. I have decided on 16" Alpina rims. However, I need to know if you guys think the open lug/black centered rims would look anachronistic by which I mean is this the wrong style for an 87? Or do you think I should go w...

PM me about those rims! My only concern is, that (9.5x17") is a lot of rubber for 250 sum HP. I spoke to KSK dist. and they can still source the 16"s. However, the same Alpina is on their brochure and they told me the wheel diameter, from the proflie of the same car looked to be 16" v...

Great! Thanks for the info. I am trying to decide on a 17 or 16 Alpina rim for my M6. IMO, a standard M6 does not warrant a 17, especialy a 10X17 in the rear.

What size are these? I am in the market and want Alpina but do not want the car to have wheels that look silly (i.e. too big).
