Nice mod!
ebikes put batteries in the down tubes to keep the center of gravity as low as possible. How's the stability of your project?
Has anyone out there created a true ee24 i.e., electric e24?

While not strictly chassis: door hinges, lock cylinders (dry graphite) , hood hinges, window glides (silicone), windshield wiper linkages, boot hinges.

You get what you pay for. An incorrect diagnosis means unnecessary parts and labor. Sounds like you need a real time oscilloscope to record voltages and signals.

Is the lesson of the "lost" radiator to have everything shipped to you and then only give the body shop what is needed for the next step? I'd be worried that stuff would walk away...

Re: Rear Muffler.....again
I've had the same problem as my 633 is a different animal from a 635 . I had a conversation with an engineer at APEX Emissions which made these in the past. There may be a fit with a Mercedes muffler but i wouldn't bet on it. Perhaps the 635 rear section would fit with appropriate bashing and i am a...

My Ctek has an accessory cord that has ring connectors on 1 end for direct attachment to the battery and a polarized connector on the other that attaches to the charger. No alligator clips needed

You can buy small hose at HD to replace the tube that doesn't fit. I think the clear vinyl will hold up .

If you have rolling blackouts, there may then be greater reliance on daytime solar charging or solar battery storage that then charges the vehicle.

Re: OH NO! California wants to ban gas powered vehicles
It is interesting to note that some of the first cars were electric. Jay Leno has an early electric, a 1908 Baker. There is also a French car museum in Florida with early electrics. It's the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum in Pinellas Park with a 1922 Milburn Electric and a 1971 CGE Gregoire Electric. B...

Re: OH NO! California wants to ban gas powered vehicles
With declining fuel tax to maintain roads (unless rates rise) will they tax electricity or impose an annual vehicle fee to offset this? Seems to me that a tire tax makes sense as wear and tire life are mostly correlated to miles driven. But this is a 2030-2050 time frame problem.

My mechanic jumped the connectors at the starter switch to get it started.
Ocam's law: start with the simple solution first. Battery voltage is easily checked. Move on from there.
Best of luck.

One good test is to pull the Tstat and put it in cool water that you then heat up. Get a high quality mercury thermometer (I think the kind used to make candy about $11 on Amazon) or maybe a dial type and run multiple heat-up/cool down cycles on the stove (your wife will think you've taken up cookin...

So what will they do when the fire trucks dealing with the incessant wildfires have to return to base for 12 hours at a time to recharge their batteries .............. They will likely be slower to ban diesel As to gasoline, with declining petrol powered cars, gas stations will close and the price ...

Victor electronic kill trap. Uses a few D cells and zapps the buggers. I also place bait stations with Con-trac in them around the house that have warfarin in them. I'm told the fat binder attracts the mice and the anti-coagulant kills them. I buy from Do My Own Pest Control (www.domyown.com)

I just replaced the starter switch (bought OEM BMW from dealer for about $80). It goes on the steering column just behind the ignition switch. The tamperproof bolt is designed to shear off if turned and you will likely have to drill it out, Replace it with a hex bolt. When you open up the column, yo...

OH NO! California wants to ban gas powered vehicles
Cali is going crazy. Newsom wants to ban the sale of gas powered cars in favor of EVs by 2035. I may still be alive then so in addition to hoarding parts, I may have to hoard gas if this idea spreads to the East coast. To think that some of the wild fires were started by mismanagement of the electri...

Are there any good VIN decoders with a complete build sheet that don't ask you to pay for a vehicle history report. Have they gone the way of the dodo?
