Re: Anti-roll (sway) bars
Larger swaybars such as e28 m5/m6 size of 25/18mm will tear mounts, speaking from experience using Ireland engineering sway bars on e28 chassis.

Re: Adding Lambda Control to a Euro ECU
Following eagerly to see your verification.
I don't have an o2 sensor in my euro cars at the moment, but this is obviously a good option. I am sure it would improve cruise fuel economy like the ljet with lambda on actual US E12 cars...

Re: Anti-roll (sway) bars
Yes e28/e24 interchange but note that the rear bar will be different for '83/'84 models due to the diff cover. Also bigger bars will require reinforcement to the chassis.

Re: 1980 635CSi Euro
Played with this car and came to the conclusion that the oil filter housing was damaged. Maybe I tightened it too much or something, but the lower section where the bolt goes through doesn't look correct. I started up the car and saw a small drip at idle coming out near the bolt head. I have a spare...

Still available.
Here's how they look installed in a car. Obviously shown is an early euro model. The set for sale is not the exact one pictured but is identical parts and condition, maybe even better!

Yes for early style (bavaria) with bottom bolt does, with the spring and plate as pictured. The top bolt e28 version does not have any of those parts.

Re: 1978 Euro 635CSi rev issues
On a '78-'79 the CTS is located under the intake manifold with the jules verne device. It is behind and hard to access. So this makes it harder to measure and replace the CTS. In my experience they don't really go bad, but they obviously can... https://www.firstfives.org/faq/aux_air_valve/79piping.j...

Re: Returning With A Neat Find: 1984 M635CSi
Yasin, I noticed your toolkit for this car is incorrect. It looks like you have the E28 tray instead of the e24 tray which has all the wrenches in a vertical position next to each other instead of 3 and 3. You can usually check the production date on the tray as well to know when it was produced. ht...

Re: 1978 Euro 635CSi rev issues
You don't have a spare ECU to try, do you? Sort of hard to find them these days. I bought one four years ago and I got a little lucky to find it. Fuel Air Spark is the basic troubleshooting idea. Sounds like fuel pressure and injectors you have covered as operating properly since it idles. Air comes...

Re: 1980 635CSi Euro
Small update here. I went to start the car and had leakage out the oil filter housing. I thought it may be the same problem as before with the check valve, but that didn't make any sense after having added a chamfer to the oil pump and cleaning out the bore and piston inside the pump. It was colder,...

Re: 1978 Euro 635CSi rev issues
Does it ever cut out entirely? I would say in my experience the ignition control box works or doesnt. I think the distributor pulse generator could be a problem. It is a piece of the guys inside the distributor, but mome missed a little bit at high rpm and then started cutting out entirely when too ...

Re: Adding Lambda Control to a Euro ECU
Good explanation though a lot of this is going over my head since I am not an electrical engineer. So the real question is, what are you next steps of your lambda control and/or are you contemplating some sort of lambda control with o2 feedback? It occurred to me your could do the same thing you are...

Re: 1978 Euro 635CSi rev issues
My first suspect would be corrosion inside the rotor or some problem with the distributor and the weights inside sticking somehow. Are you sure you have sufficient full pressure and flow? I had some symptoms of this with a bad fuel pump where it would free Rev fine but was limited in the revs by a b...

Re: Adding Lambda Control to a Euro ECU
By default for the system to operate (in open loop), it must have a map to reference to determine the injection values, even if no closed feedback loop exists. Otherwise, how else would the system know how to determine the default amount of fuel for each condition encountered? The Ljet manual confir...

Re: Adding Lambda Control to a Euro ECU
Interesting. How does your circuit change things at wot? Do you ignore the signal in this condition and then default to the original map? Presumably so if you are simply modifying the air temp signal, and it sounds like it is really just a modifying/conditioning circuit. I guess you can't check it w...
